Default question about the bape employees..in soho

anybody know how much they get paid??..because whatever their wage is..is too much

it actually seems like all they get paid to do is stand around in the newest shit..get first dibs on everything..etc..

and to tell people that they dont have anything in their size at this moment.. to come back another day, before the store opens at 12

and the security guy gets to stand there and laugh at people who walk out empty handed..while he's getting paid to do nothing..

how the fuck did they get these jobs??

they probably also get to bang all dem chicks that work at that la perla store right next to 'em as a bonus..

the security guard actually makes sure people don't walk out the store with 90 dollar shirts and 300 dollars sweatshirts, which by the way has never happened, so i guess he is doing a good job

but oh wait, i forgot! it's make shit up day!
(i guess i didn't get the memo!)

they have all the same jobs as retail workers,

people that work in macy's or like even foot locker of all places do the same thing:

"tell people that they dont have anything in their size at this moment"
and to help customers...

"it actually seems like all they get paid to do is stand around in the newest shit..get first dibs on everything..etc.."

so i guess i forgot that they stand there absolutely still, not moving!
so the guy at the register ringing up my clothes is standing there in the newest shit getting first dibs on everything while i'm standing there like a retard wondering who i pay
but oh wait i forgot! it's make shit up day!
so they really aren't doing nothing, they are helping me!

i bet u guys wouldn't have the same attitude about BWS employees if you were one....

its retail work at a good store, why aren't you curious to know the wages of say a investment broker, a male prostitute, a best selling author, or even an aerospace engineer? i bet they make good money to wear the expensive suits they wear

well..yes, they obviously ring up my transactions, and get the size i need if they have it or whatever..

but they really dont seem pleased to be there most the time..which comes off as rude, and not very helpful..

i'm not on a first name basis wit these cats like you people are..cause it's not that serious to me..but the girls i've dealt with are pretty cool..and theres like 2 white guys that are/were decent

but basically...theyre all just there to get their hands on a hoodie before anybody else does..

the rest of their shift is irrelevant

"but they really dont seem pleased to be there most the time..which comes off as rude, and not very helpful.."

when was the last time you've ever walked into a store and had a 3 hour chat and dinner with an employee there?

do you expect them to enlighten you on current events?
are they there to swap recepies with you and to maybe meet up later for lunch?

no!

they are there to help you with merchandise and to ring up purchases!

by the way,

one employee i met seems happy to be there,
the manager seems happy to be there,

oh wait its make shit up day still?????
i guess they are miserable and hate their job!
why don't they quit???

OH YEAH, IT'S MAKE SHIT UP DAY, SO THEY REALLY AREN'T MISERABLE!!

"i'm not on a first name basis wit these cats like you people are..cause it's not that serious to me..but the girls i've dealt with are pretty cool..and theres like 2 white guys that are/were decent"

i've only been there a few times, and i don't really know everyone's name, but i was introduced to a few people... does that mean i'm serious because i know like 4 of their names?

no?

oh but it's make shit up day....
(maybe i should get my e-mail fixed

"but basically...theyre all just there to get their hands on a hoodie before anybody else does.."

oh so they aren't there to make money?
they aren't there because they enjoy retail?

no!

but since it's make shit up day.....

so to sum everything up:

"the rest of their shift is irrelevant"

basic shift:

come in for work
maybe do stocking or unload shipments

**** this is the part where they are on the "floor" ****

help customers
ring up merchandise
make sure stuff doesn't get stolen

"the rest of their shift is irrelevant"

they only

"ring up my transactions, and get the size i need if they have it or whatever"

while they are on the floor,

so what else are they supposed to do on the floor?

enlighten you on current events?
swap recepies with you and to maybe meet up later for lunch?

i don't think so?

You have a point here, asia_minor that "technically" these retail staff's job is to do just that: stock, do transactions, help with merchandise, etc.

But a huge part of retail, especially floor staff is customer service. It's integral to any shop that wants a loyal following. I'm sure you've all had the experience walking into a shop where the people working there were total assholes to you; even arrogant. It totally turns you off from exploring the store further, even if you do like the clothes, and voila: wasted revenue.

Just like in restaurants. If you had a pretty good meal, but shitty service, would you even think about going back? Probably not. Yet if you've had absolutely spectacular service, yet just an average meal, you would still consider returning. And it's never "oh I'll excuse the waiters/waitresses. It's not their job to enlighten me on current events or have a 3 hour chat". You always complain.

Bape is lucky in that people will always return to the store no matter what because of the want for their product. But best_name_ever has a point in that terrible customer service can really turn you off from shopping there.

Why are they arrogant anyway? Not like their high up the economic ladder working retail.

how do you think it feels to stand around all day and field calls from people about if something is in or if they have something

spend all day telling people

1) they dont have their size
2) a bape price on a item that clearly shocks people
3) where the store is and when they are open to

listen it sucks

i woudlnt work there on the sickest discount.....you coudlnt pay me enough

its rough work ....that and im 27 with a engineering degree
