How far are these stores from the convention center?
When I head out there for the nerdy comic con what should I expect?
Do they sell sneakers at msrp or do they jack them up?

naw all sneakers sold at BLENDS are retail prices. They got a lotta Nikes i aint ever seen before, nike's without the swoosh, assorted colors of the baseball dunks, and a bunch of nikes that were made in taiwan that look hella funky. Last time i went there i'd estimate about 60 to maybe 80 different types of nike's and im not talking bout nike's u find at footlocker. Average price is $70 to $130, Sorry they dont got no Tiff's Easter's De La's ect, those sold out. They also got funky Adidas, Reboks ect. Best shoe store i've ever been to in my life.

If u want the limited edition nike's head over to 5 & A Dime they got Tiffs, Melvins, Easters, and a bunch of others. They resell so prices are high but not as high as if u were to buy these online.

The convention center is about a 15 minute walk away from these stores (8th Ave). The ballpark is about a 5 to 8 min walk away. So yeah somewhat walking distance, a cab ride from convension center to the stores would prolly be 3 to 5 bucks max, tip included.

Have fun at comic con, your garuntee to bump into mad hollywood actors & actresses. Watch the crowd to cuz comic con is famous for having hollywood heads walking around like regular people trying to check out the show cuz thats how bug of fans some are. Some peeps i've seen walking around comic con on the DL are Seth Greene, Jim Beluchie & Hallie Berry. Nobody even recognized these people as actors/actresses cuz they dressed & looked different to try & avoid fans.

I have been going for the past couple of years and it's a good time. Never had a hard time with the crowds because I dont have to wait in line. It's nice to know that there are some decent spots near the hotels. I've never done shopping outside of the con because most of the areas seem dead. Except for that mall type thing near del taco or what ever it's called. They have a good fish taco there.

Any good eating spots?

Commissarys site: http://www.commissarysd.com

Blends site: http://www.blendsus.com

The joint on 8th St. is Unsteady. And then there's the sister store Steady a 10 minute drive away.

There's a lot of good eating spots. What do you wanna eat and how much do you wanna spend?

Mexican food homie. I garuntee that the shittyest mexican food joint in san diego is considered the best mexican food joint anywhere else in the country, Nor Cal included. I remember my cousin took me to the best mexican food joint in nor cal when i was up there, it compared to an average/below average mexican food joint here.

So any taco shop or mexican food joint u see, eat there. order the usual, Carne Asada burrito. U can never go wrong wit a carne asada burrito.

I fly in from NYC and I want something different and fun. Last year one spot was dicks and for a new yorker it was great. Nothing too fancy but all the restaurants seem to be cheap compared to what im used to. A good mexican takeout place would be nice to know about for a quick lunch.

yeah check out "Mission Valley" gots some cheap rooms at some random spots and is pretty close to the zoo. maybe a 5 to 10 min driving distance away. Go to signonsandiego and search the mission valley area for hotels & motels. should be round 60 to 70 a night for a decent spot. Mission Valley is in the middle of SD. 5 to 10 min drive from downtown (clubbin), 10 to 15 min drive from Pacific Beach (Drinkin, Barring & Fuckin) the 2 best spots to get smashed & find cutta. ;)

im a Ex- san diegian.. i now live in frisco.. but yoo regarding mexican food.. you gotta get a california burrito.. shit is on point.. along with that carne asada fries are a must!!!!! while in SD hit up tijuana.. depending on your age.. if your 21 or older dont even bother..
if your more into the skater aspect of this lifestyle.. hit up street machine, its 5th and broadway.. they got more artsy skateshit.. and more limited..
Igloo- in little italy, its alright.
Armory- they have bapestas sometimes.. and a grip of LRG and live mech(if your into that.. personally thats not me) we use to go to armory for our graffiti needs and records..
**FYI MISSION VALLEY SUCKS...
pacific beach is dope..
- Atomic use to have ill shit.. but i dunno anymore... worthwhile to check out.. its on garnet..
check out La jolla cove.. pretty dope.. just to chill out.

i hate malls, but if your into that- there is damn fine women at Fashion Valley.. check out blue room they had stupid cheap SBs.. but its too surfer for my taste.. ahha i saw frankie J there..

and while downtown.. horton plaza is dope.. crazy ill arcitecture(*SP)

thats all i can think of right now.. but realistically, all you hafta do is stay downtown.. commisary, 5 and a dime, steady-unsteady, street machine, maybe armory just cause its also right there.. and all the clerks are mad nice.. and theyll drop mad knowledge
