the only reason the yankees are in the series is they bought their way in.. "the Yankees picked up stud starting pitchers A.J. Burnett and C.C. Sabathia, as well as switch-hitting first baseman Mark Teixeira. In the end, the Bombers committed $423.5 million dollars to sign three players to long-term deals, bolstering a weak pitching staff and adding a young, elite hitter to their lineup". whats really funny is jayson werth is leading all in homeruns this postseason made 2.5 million in the 2009 season. A-ROID on the other hand, 33 million just for this season!

$ doesn't mean shit. and it obviously doesn't mean one team is better then another. obviously yanks and phils are the top 2 teams, even though their payrolls differ.
Would you like fish with that rice?

You're mad? LMFAO@ these fans bitching that the Yankees have the highest payroll. They're also mad that the Yankees are like R. Madrid, the most famous sport teams in the whole world. You go to some country like Slovakia and they'll let you know that they're rooting for the yankees. They don't even know who the phillies are...shit even I didn't knew that they existed even though they won last year. I thought it went: Mets, Braves, Marlins, and Nationals.
In New York we smoke Phillies

people complain about this every year. If the yankees dont win the world series, you make fun of them for sucking with suck a high payroll. If they do then you just bitch about how they have such a high payroll. Well look at the top 3 teams. Chicago hasnt won a world series in how long? Boston has won 2 in the last 90 years or so. and 2 of those were in the last 6 years. Payroll doesnt mean shit. its more about how the players mesh together and how healthy they stay.
WE OFF THAT
