i go to brooks right now, ive learned quite a lot so far (im about 7+ months here)

yeah some stuff does suck about the school (like parking) but the stuff they teach you is good, very technical.

the only reason im applying to cal arts for the fall is cuz thats the school i wanted to goto originally and im more of an artist than commercial photographer

haha that movie was based on the school i goto. im over at pratt for illustration. it's mad expensive thankfully i'm on tuition exchange so im paying like nothing its an alright school mad hip and half the kids cant draw or paint for shit but they have the grades n dough to buy there way in. fucked.

funny that you say that. my friend is a freshmen there and is hoping to major in film, and she said pretty much the same exact thing you said.

Otis is great but expensive. My concern is take AA degree, get a job, develop your skills, and do it with your own hand. Learning by experience is always a good thing to do.

I graduated from Brooks in '08. I admit towards the end of my education at Brooks, I was ready to move on. I already found my style in my last year there and was more than willing to drop out but stayed put for the degree. Brooks is more technical and commercial in their curriculum so if you are there for the means of commercial/advertising, go to Brooks.

Now I work at an art gallery in L.A. and have plenty of connections. I do tons of shows and am currently in the works for my first solo exhibition in India.

My twin brother currently attends Art Center in Pasadena and loves it. He's majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Illustration. Definitely a more fine art route and I wished I went there instead.

^ art center is still a pretty commercial school from what ive heard. my aunt went there for graphic design too haha
