I love those rare nights where you watch highlights & don't already know the score.

Damn, it sucks to see Fletcher/Scholes being outplayed in the center of that park. Nani is also a culprit for missing an opportunity through obvious passes once more. So many counter attacks being produced from losing the ball so cheaply like that. Anderson/Fletcher as the best central combination until Carrick finds his form. Playing from deep won't help us now though. Obertan for half time at least. Or Evra as Rafael is looking shaky.

I'm happy with 3-3 but really we could have won it at the end there. We were all over them for the last 20-25 minutes.

2-2. Once again, Chelsea lets them slide by in stoppage time. Drogba was on fire.

There was me thinking Rafa was gonna be safe for another week or so and Lyon pulled it back to a draw. Babel's goal was pretty good though i must admit.

BTW, I agree on Obertan. He showed his bravery yesterday and in the Carling Cup against Barnsley. Attacks defenders, runs inside, and shows hints of class and composure. He just looks like if he flows naturally on the ball. Doesn't look uncomfortable and looks hungry as he seems to want it more than Nani. Personally, and this is from a realistic point of view. I believe we need to look into a CB though I feel Brown has pretty descent cover for the position. I see Evans/Vidic starting more often unless Fergie gives Ferdidnand the run of games he's been asking for. Unless Brown feels he can play CB more than RB than I see no problem. As for the midfield, we need creativity, impact, and heart. I know Villa/Silva are gonna be one hell of an expensive duo, but who else is available? Ideally, Fabregas but he won't go anywhere but Barcelona if he were to leave the Emirates. I just wanna see remnants of the United that terrorized Europe with fast runs and 4+ attackers coming at you.

Oh what great season Rafa is having
I doubt he's gonna get sacked, I don't think he deserves it based on this season alone but fuck they're playing rubbish football. Cannot see the progressing to the next stage of CL, huge things need to happen. Seriously, how good is this Rubin Kazan team? Never heard of them but they're holding it up with the best. |

Yeah I get what your saying, it's kinda like A-League football here. Defend like crazy in the box, once you have possession slowly go forward and use the wings as much as possible. It can be shocking to watch but in the end it wins you matches. Not every team can afford to have a huge strike force.
Btw - any of you guys play FIFA? We should start a little league if you guys want? |

Not only a strike force, but training facilities, agents, scouts, etc. There's so much more to football than investing in established footballers. But yeah, a tactic is a tacitc and Rubin went with it and played it well. It's part of football from what I see. A tactic or strategy against possesion, possesion, possesion. I liked this though, hopefully this exposes Barca and every other team that plays against them from now on uses this tactic. Or man mark Xavi like Hugo Sanchez did. Haha. This also shows that possesion football doesn't guarantee results. The name of the game is finishing at times. As for FIFA, I don't have '10 yet, but plan on buying/renting soon. I occasionally play on '09 online. My PSN is go0seMUFC for those interested in a game.
