Chelsea have a great squad, can't argue that, United not so sure right now. However if either side lost roughly 6-7 first team players, I believe they would have similar records and issues. Thats just too many players that any club could deal with, I do not understand how you can argue that.

dont make excuses for the scouse! minus torres and gerrard they are a mid level prem team, they should be in the europa league. united can lose players as well as chelski because they have youngsters in the wings and depth. rafa has shite when it comes to depth. they have a great starting 11 but after that then what? for example united has a prem, CL, international striker on the bench in owen, the vast talents of a giggs or scholes to call in as sub. park fletcher, anderson, nani, valencia could all start for prem teams. chelski mid field is ridiculious with essien, ballack, lampard, deco, malouda, cole, and obi mikel all striving for four spots. united defense has evans, fabio, oshea, rafael, neville, brown to fill in cracks. see the depth?
