i thought after the kurtis blow run dmc era of rappers this was common knowledge that a freestyle then became a verse or several bars from a mc/rapper that was exclusive to that moment and would never resurface on song or video. oh this means i agree infamous.

Freestyle battles are cool

but freestyling on its own has nothing to do with rap. I want to hear shit that people sat down and thought about when they wrote it.

ull never see any "real rapper" bring his notebook in a battle tho. its rapping off the top if u have everything prepared ur not freestyling plain and simple. and yes im aware theres a lot of fakes.
