Well I dont understand why Fedor utilizes different strikes knees, kicks, and especially elbows. He's starting to be more predictable, but he's flexibility and quickness are saving him. Those are factors that slows down as fighter ages so I hope he evolve his game even more. Let's not forget Brett Roger was fuckin' no joke. H

e opened up Fedor with a stiff jab then Fedor's nose is supposedly broken? Like he said though he did get slow down because he was fighting against the Emperor.

I think he's a Russian Orthodox fanatics. LMAO at the black interviewee repedtely saying Thank You to Fedor so he doesn't have to hear about Fedor mumbling about his beliefs.

Aoki was in attendance lol. Who can possibly guess this guy is one of the best in the world also the fact that he used to be a police officer. His unassumingness among the fighters is one of the top and barncat Mccorry.

Silva lost because he started to engage with him on the ground... Werdum is boring but he got few good knees. Werdum's reversal is beautiful. btw I think Strikeforce had the idea of Fedor vs. Werdum but after this performance I think it'll be the title bout against ALISTAR OVEREEM. But with Werdum, i aint going to complain.

Jake... Shields... he had no intention of finishing the fight... wtf. His wrestling was great.

Gegard was actually taken down number of times by Theirry. Great to see Theirry actually using judo techniques, but again he quit the fight like he always have in the fight. He did show tremendous improvement though.

Gegard always comes in the cage with the bad intention, he's like the hungry lone wolf
Hopefully we'll get to see him on NYE event in Japan.

Man the fights last night were awesome. Although I wish Shields would've done more to try to finish the fight besides just wrestle good strategy to win the title safely, but nothing exciting. Does anyone else feel that strikeforce puts on better shows than the ufc?

Rogers definately surprised many people just by how long he lasted, but even more so was that he actually hung on after getting hit a few times, then dished it back to Fedor, then Rogers stood a lil too open and is obviously slower and got hit with a fuckin bolt! But what if he missed completely?! Fedor threw his whole body into that punch, a high risk- high reward punch that if he would've missed, who knows what kind of punch or punches Rogers could've landed. Something I think a faster or better timed fighter like Mir or even Lesnar could deal with better.
I really think Fedor will just retire on the top after dominating a bunch of cans and or up-coming fighters like Rogers.. without ever testing himself in the UFC, I really don't think he'll fight in the UFC

All fights are good, doent matter what org they are from.. Just the UFC has the highest level of competition! Reason i believe some fighters from strikeforce need to leave and not resign.. Shields knew this is all he could do, all he did was hold Mayhem all 5 rounds! Atleast Mayhem had a huge choke that would have ended if there was 5 seconds left and when standing he was on point! And those rabbit punches Shields was throwing Mayhem was laughing at them! I used to be a huge fan of Shields still am but he no longer can call out GSP, cause that wrestling garbage wont work!

No - Strikeforce put on their A-List of fighters last night.. and that's pretty much all they got, Fedor & Mousasi now?!
UFC could make top notch cards every month if they wanted, Strikeforce.. has to wait till Fedor or Mousasi or Cyborg is ready because that's the only talent that will bring viewers.

A note about Jake Shields... he is fuckin garbage! That wrestling BS needs to be scored different in the MMA world! Can u imagine if Jake Shields fought Joe Daddy or Clay Guida?!! That would be soooo fuckin boring! But whatever, maybe he takes the same approach as Anderson Silva - win the match with the least amount of damage taken.

^ ahhhh the best team back then! Fuck your jackson camp, your american top team! CHUTE BOXE was it! To bad it took a huge falling, but produced some of the best fighters in the world today, those 3 up there, Anderson Silva, and Anthony Johnson(chute Boxe LA)...

Also UFC 108 Main Event and co-main event confirmed today

Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira - Main Event
Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva - Co- Main Event

Still rumored
Junior Dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga* - will be on the card just havent signed the contract
Carlos Condit vs. Paul Daley*
Tyson Griffin vs. Jim Miller*
Martin Kampmann vs. Rory Markham*
Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout*
Dan Lauzon vs. Cole Miller*
Ryan Jensen vs. Mark Munoz*
Jake Ellenberger vs. Mike Pyle*

* Also rumor if Brandon Vera beats Randy it could land him #1 contender or he will have to fight the winner of Evans and silva and that outcome will be #1 contender after the Rematch!

^Yeah Chute Boxe was on fire then. Don't forget Thigo Silva too, he trained with them for extended periods of time until he decided to move to ATT camp in FL. Didn't know Anthony Johnson train at Chute Boxe.

i want to see winner of Rogerio "Minotoro" Nogueira vs. Luiz "Banha" Cane against the winner of Brandon Vera vs. Randy Couture.

Vera hasn't proven anything at 205. Didn't he lose to Keith Jardine by split decision not while ago?

^ yeah Anthony Johnson was just a wrestler who walked into Chute Boxe LA with no stand up skills! They trained to what he is now! Then Chute Boxe La closed turned in LA mma then Anthony left to go to ATT then left there and now trains with Cung LE which now i feel has made his striking unreal! If Anthony Johnson dominates Josh Koscheck, GSP might have his hands full with this dude! He is a very tall, heavy monster at 170, which he should be a 185er! I thought Thiago Alves made a huge cut from 190-195 to 170 but rumor has it Anthony Johnson is 200-210 before he goes into training camp! He was 220 before this last fight but that was cause of injury and he couldnt cut weight that fast! But he says he makes 170 every other time and its not that hard!

Brandon Vera won his last 2 since then and then just took this fight on kinda short notice! And remember he didnt want to fight in the UK on this kinda notice but seen it was against Couture so he had to take it! And everyone knows, if u take a big fight on any short of notice it gives u an edge especially if u win! Reason rumors a stating that if Vera beats Couture at 205 he it would place him very high up! I wouldnt mind seeing Luiz Cane vs. VEra, it would be a straight Muay Thai fight! So if Vera beats Couture which i see being very likely he either will get that #1 spot or he will have to fight winner of Evans and Thiago to get that spot!

Also i will like to share this with everyone! And want u guys to go back and watch it after i tell u this... Believe or not but Couture vs Nog should have been over in the first round when Nog put Couture in a choke! Everyone is like "wow randy got out of that" yeah he did because it wasnt being put on as hard a everyone thinks! A Black belt in BJJ, when they get that placement and positioning, they will squeeze until u tap, it was perfect, he had perfect placement but if u watch very closely, u will see that Nog wasnt squeezing as hard as his facial expression was showing! u watch every fighter who puts a choke on, they squeeze and there arms show it and they will clench there first to make there muscle even harder to cut of more space! also if there body placement is good they can work there arms abit to squeeze even hard! Look closely at Nog's hands and arms then look at his facial expression! I believe he didnt want to end the fight this way because he wanted to give the fans a great show between these two because thats what everyone wanted to see and it was marketed that way!

"I still have some gaps in my techniques, in my skills, and that’s why my trainers press me hard to work hard and improve. In spite of the fact that they try to work me hard and make my game perfect, I still, in some places, I look a little bit clumsy."

"I am the way that I am, but I always remember that the harder a person gets, the more it hurts to fall down. That’s why I think about all the results (that come from) what I do in a calm way. Also, I try to treat all people the same way. We’re all human beings, with two arms, two legs and all of us are equal in front of God."

-Fedor Emelianenko, giving his thoughts on his performance after watching the fight against Brett Rogers.

UFC 109: Renzo Gracie vs. Matt Hughes~~~~ hells yeah. Renzo is my favorite Gracie member because of the fact that he ALWAYS ALWAYS brings it. I hope he revenge his brother Royce Gracie's loss.

That sounds like pure speculation to me. I mean unless you happen to have been one of his grappling partners or something, then I think Randy was able to hold off and get out. Its not like Randy hasnt ever been in a submission hold in the past and was able to survive?!

Actually, it was brought to my attention by a BJJ blackbelt! He noticed it after he watched it on spike while waiting for strikeforce.. He said said it was either Nog didnt want to end it that early and had to play it off or he has a weak choke! And he said " we know he doesnt have a we choke" then told me exactly what i said up there! Then i watched it again and what he said made alot of since and u can notice! We all know Randy has never been submitted and can get out of them but when u have a person like Nog who bases his whole fighting off BJJ, he wouldnt give up a choke that he has perfect positioning that quick and easy! But it could be pure speculation coming from the person who said it but when someone who is that high up in BJJ says it and u can see what he is saying when u watch it.. It makes since! So i thought i would mention it and see if other people see what im saying.. Just watch real close!
