This is my point of view I think what Jay focusing on is writing history in this blank book called hip hop. Hip hop is one of the youngest genre out there and jay is taking advantage of that to make sure when he's gone he'll be remembered like the Elvis of rock and roll and the Mj of Pop which we'll talk about forever.

Most Rappers stop making music or fell off hard on their early years because everyone acknowledge the fact that its a young man game.Unlike rock and roll we haven't experience a 40+ rapper that's still relevant to teenager's hear, In my opinion that page in the hip hop book is his right now and only his.

that's also one of the reasons that Jay-Z still making music.
Like it or not Jay is on 80% Hip hop Top ten List Maybe even 5 or 7 and since he knows that right now he's focusing on just making history whether its with good music or not (depends on taste).

Example let's say its 2040 and you in a barber shop which artist you think you the old folks (meaning us) will talk about Beanie Or jay . He's not's better than every rapper Jay but no rappers will ever or can do what Jay does which is why its arguable that he's the best.

1. You can say Biggie,Pac, all day as the best rapper but Jay-z have 11 number one albums, he's already being compared to them but also have the advantage of keep writing history and making more impact, dude's a damn near billionaire = more history.
2. Hova don't answer most rappers because by mentioning your name you gonna get popular which doesn't work vice versa because he already is.
Jay is not the best lyricist (opinion)
not Jesus (fact)
not the best dressed maybe (since this is hypebeast)(fact)
But Overall He is the best hip hop artist.
