Fuuuuck i feel your pain geoff. There's this Polo sport reversible puffer jacket in the colour I want but it's a size or two too small for me. I see them in my size all the time but in colours I'd never wear.

Oh well, it's not the end of the world. We all have our health, I hope we all have our happiness, and in time the Lo pieces we're looking for will eventually make it either on ebay or into thrift shops around our way somehow.

From the looks of it though, it looks like the tag sewed onto the tongue is for the Polo Country brand.

Unfortunately, Polo Country ended its production in the early 90's.



That reminds me, I saw a pair of cookie boots on ebay in a really dope leather colour. It looks really well-used and aged perfectly. They looked great but were size 9 so I didn't think of posting them, but they weren't Polo, they were Polo Country. Just looking at the pair though you could tell the quality was up there.

Ebay and thrift shops are your friend. This way, polo goes real easy on your wallet and if you're into vintage shit that's a bonus.

I don't recognize the tag on those shoes. the first pics you posted make it look like polo country to me but the newer pics indicate it's from the sportsmen collection which would make it... late 90's I'm guessing?

In any case, ebay and luck will be your best bet to geoff and loch. Never seen those from the sportsmen collection before. Seen a red and a green pair from RL '93 though.

The thing about it is that I HATE suede. I live where it rains constantly so wearing or buying anything suede makes no sense. I have one pair of polo suede sneakers and a hunting jacket with a suede patch on the shoulder, but I wear the sneakers for like a month out of the year when it doesn't rain.

If you do happen to get anything thats custom fit you may want to go a size bigger but with classic fit your normal size should be just right. Just pay attention to those tags

A '93 Polo Snowbeach pullover jacket, dubbed the "Raekwon" on account of it being worn in the "Can it All be So Simple" music video is now available on ebay. Grails of EVERY lo head around. Damn this is my size too. This shit is deadstock, WITH TAGS, AND with the red interior lining. There's a variant with blue interior lining, which is more common but doesn't go for as much. The raekwons are fucking hard to find when they're in horrible condition, let alone deadstock with tags still on. Holy shit, Buy-It-Now is at around 2,000. A fucking STEAL as I've seen these go for upwards of 8,000 and have never seen these go for as low for a couple k.

Actually now that you mention it, I did see that other one. it went for like 1,200 but from what I remember it was used heavily. This is the best condition I've seen this in personally, but I wouldn't doubt there being ones better condition; there must be, I just haven't seen em. Short term memory, I fail. I don’t do anything outside of Polo. 2. The RANGER Boots (which I’m sure you refer to as the “Cookie Boots”) were Polo Sport which I do NOT where. This was just an old piece I pulled out of my closet which they asked me to speak about. The Men.Style/GQ 5 man crew came to my apt. & filmed me for a few minutes shy of an hour. 3. I don’t do the “vintage gear” (which I stated but was edited out). Again, if you were up on your Polo sh*t then you’d know that this collection(s) displayed in this very brief video clip are of (semi-)recent (’06 - ‘08 collections: Indian Pointe, Naval Utility & World Traveler). 4. 88keys wins. Also, I love that he's a bit more open minded to accept any lo from beyond that 92-94 era. Snowbeach and P-wing is dope in my opinion, don't get me wrong, but I love Lo enthusiasts who focus or are at least open to other era/seasons. I know Sub likes his Polo bear, which I find great (and endrearing, you softie, you.) and I personally am in particular a Polo Country enthusiast (although I'll buy any polo I like really. Mid-late 90's stuff is cool to me as well).

Ralph Lauren polo changes drastically from season to season and it's great to see which direction the brand takes itself into each year. (although the recent pseudo p-wing revival was kind of weak in my opinion)
