View Full Version : I hate trying to intentionally match now, its too forced
I used to try to match my kicks and tees, or with fitteds. But now i just try to wear complimentary colors, ie. syracuse organge dunks with a purple tee
or if a shirt is white with a secondary color as red, i might rock infared am90s, or my hosoi vans..
and so on.. i kinda hate shirts that match too perfectly, as it looks quite unnatural
BTW i might sell my brand new Clientele black raygun tee (sz M) haha if anyones interested in matching they 'guns and dont agree with what im saying

Why not! Some kicks are just too hard to match. I had the same problem when I wore my Lebron Royale AF1. Nothing matches them so I just wore anything!

I completely agree with you Homi. When I read the title of the thread I thought to myself that matching colors exactly ends up being too much and complimentary actually colors look better. You ended up saying the same thing.

Sometimes I match and sometimes I don't.
I never try to match, but sometimes I just do.
I am not the type of dude to stand around in the mirror forever either tho.
Matching is good with some stuff and others just looks wack.... to me
it really just depends.

i agree with what Diamond says.
however i like to make unmatching colors...match. like my orange blaze FC's with an aqua shirt or something. its a bit more difficult but when you get it down.. 1) it looks good 2) it doesnt look super obvious that you are trying to match your whole outfit.
matching your tee/hoody with your shoes is cool sometimes (majority of the time i do it cause i cant find anything else that looks good with the combo).. but sometimes people take it too far and it just looks like you're trying hard.
in my opinion.. the best style of clothing is the type where you can pull it off without LOOKING like you tried too hard (even if you did try hard)
