its more than the look.

old fashion made denim is thicker and weaved differently. ever wash yoru gap jeans till they turn to paper? selvedge jeans will do that too but after a million times more washes. more durrable and the denim is made in a way that will expand and shrink where shitty denim only expands. super high quality on long lasting denim. usually peopel get raw finish to make the jeans fade their own way.

pay more for yoru jeans cause they are of higher quality not cause its in a rap song

you can tell selvedge denim by the cuff. also i still have selvedge pieces for you biginks if you want them

selvedge denim isnt as popular as normal denim cause of the price. people dont want to pay that premium

but you will know where every penny when when you feel the material esp after a few wears

the problem is most people dont keep jeans for that long. buying selvedge jeans are an investment. something that you should be intending on keeping for a long time.

i suggest that when you buy selvage, you buy some premium quality, like Atelier LaDurance Royal Selvage 14OZ's... those are HOT. not the cheapo gap-shit.

Yeah, cheap selvage defeats the purpose.
