Is having a cool logo important?

We all know that "name branding" is important for any company, but are cool logos really that important? I have noticed that some brands have been really pushing their logos more than their brand names, like Futura Labs. Is a cool, creative logo that important? Just curious....

Its important to have a cool logo. Its also important that your logo means something. Its got to be something that you feel. In time, other people will grow to feel it if you do.

^^^ I hear that! I have seen so many logos that don't really have meaning, just plain played out like cross-bones or bape knockoffs. How long has it taken you guys to create a logo? (pics are always good)

logos are good if you can come up with one that represents your brand well enough. Im more into marks than logos anyways

Its pretty damm tough to design a good logo, illos are easy as piss but finding something that defines you into one icon. Man thats hard.

Man, it took me over a month to come up with my logo. I wanted to strip everything away that didn't need to be there. Minimalism was my aim. I was inspired by the movie HERO, when Jet Li (Nameless) asked Broken Sword to write a symbol for the word sword that hadn't been written before. I tried to do the same thing with me label SEVE'.

damn i havent come up with a logo yet ive reworked old logos for my old graff crew but nothing that really says this is my brand im thinking of a simple mongram or something i have to hit the drawing board hard

i think a logo is important cuz its like the signature of the brand. everytime they see that logo, they automatically think of the brand.

Back in the day I thought certain companies designs were hot garbage, but I would wear their logos because it was cool. Did anyone else do that too?
