it's a well done flip. lucky how IRON MAIDEN also contains all the words to spell out DIAMOND. so there wasn't a need to find or recreate the font.
i guess i'd like the shirt more if i was actually familiar with iron maiden, but for those who are fans, i'm assuming this is the shit. keep coming with the hot shit, nick.

I'd just like to let you and everyone else with these shoes that you may be the corniest cats on the block. Seriously, you obviously aren't a legit Maiden fan, because every person, AND I MEAN EVERRRYYYY PERSON that I've ever known to like Maiden thinks those joints are corny. Iron Maiden and sneakerheads go together like my weiner and a vice clamp. Get what I'm saying?
Come holler at me in a few years when you grow out of this phase. You probably don't even know what the hell NWOBHM is... effing jokers. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go spend money on cigarettes, albums and denim jackets. At least one of us is metal.
The shirt though, FUCKING FIRE!!! For real dogg, you killed that shit. Quite the flip indeed.

I'll tell you what the problem with those shoes is. They're corny. There is no need to walk around with Eddie on the side of a dunk. Metal isn't about having deadstock, limited edition hyperstrike whatever-the-fuck shoes, it's about rocking out and partying hard. Unless you bought those shoes and wear them out and get beer and shit on them, it's cheesy. It'd be like buying a never worn Maiden tour shirt on ebay, but never wearing it, and then being an overally cautious and anal about it's pristine condition when wearing it out. Last time I checked, that's not what the fuck metal was all about.
I'm not targeting you, but the growing mass of 'hypesters' don't know shit about shit. That's why they need to fall back, and stop buying Iron Maiden sneakers cause they are limited edition and storing them in the closet.

Maybe the good thing about these shoes and this Diamond tee is that it might get kids curious to actually go out and buy/download some Iron Maiden and experience what metal bands like Iron Maiden, ACDC, Black Sabbath, Slayer and others are/were all about. I would love to see more kids broaden their horizons and listen to some metal classics.
I see your point and what you are getting at, but exposing people to stuff like this could also be a good thing. Real Metal like that truely doesn't exist anymore and kids nowadays have no idea it ever did.
No need to be a metal elitist.... It's good to spread the word sometimes my friend.

OK, I've gotta disagree with you on this one. First of all, if these kids aren't familiar/interested in those bands by the time they reach jr. high, then they shouldn't bother. Granted I had both Beavis and Butthead, AND Headbangers Ball growing up, but I also had friends with metallica shirts and ear rings in kindergarten. 5 years old and I was already familiar with metal. Bands like Sabbath, AC/DC, etc... should be common knowledge to anyone who remotely cares about music. And that's not being a metal elitist. If I wanted to be a metal elitist I'd name drop shit like Deicide, Manowar, Uriah Heep, Budgie, etc... (Oh wait, I guess I just did.)
And trust me, the metal coming out today rages just as hard. Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, Mastadon, High on Fire.... I could go on all day.
I see your point about turning on new heads, but I think there are far better ways of going about it then Nike slapping Eddies face on the side of an overhyped shoe. That's why I didn't hate on your shirt. It's a good design and in my opinion, a way more legitimate way of turning kids on to the classics. I like Nike, but you can't say that they aren't about making that paper.

My friend Sam Smyth loves Metal... I mean loves it!
When he was a kid he only listened to Rap and R&B.
The dude honestly never heard Slayer until he was 18 and I had it
playing in my car. Dude just freaked out and yelled... TURN THIS SHIT OFF! It was the funniest thing ever.
I think it was just too powerful for him to comprehend at the time since he was so closed minded to music since all he cared about was rap.....
secretly, he liked what he heard tho.
Nowaday's he is 28 and listens to Led Zeppelin, IRON MAIDEN, Metallica,
Slayer and all kinds of other cool shit.... as well as rap.
The point I am getting at is that not everyone has heard of these bands before, it just depends on who you grow up with and where.
Nothing is wrong with the Iron Maiden shoes... IMO
I think they are dope and I would definatly rock them if I had a pair.

metal died with Dimebag.
there will never be a classic radio station with those afore mentioned "current rockers". There will never be performances put on like KISS, Pink Floyd and Zeppelin either...
It just won't happen. Anyone trying to put rad solos or screaming riffs just can't do it. Without IROCs, long hair and White Snake, things will just never be the same. That's not even a bad thing, though. Just like rockabilly moved on, and Elvis and The Beatles, so has Sabbath, AC/DC, and The Doors. (BTW, I'm now speaking in much more broad terms than just raw metal).
To drag on past the great history of rock that we had is like having a Lynyrd Skynyrd tour...again. Let's just enjoy the classics and not try to reinvent the wheel. "Blood Dumpster Cannibal Jesus Eaters" will never do it...(I made that band up, btw.)

to be completely fair, I don't listen to any new underground metal. i got turned off to new metal as it came out with black metal, nu metal and all those ather things. i never was into devil worshipping and all that black stuff. cannibal corpse, deicide, or whateverjust don't do it for me. sadly, i actually liked the sound of slipknot and actually hung out with em quite a bit...but i dont know if they count.
i like dillinger escape plan, too, if that counts. i really like their melodic riffs and good vocals. good vocals for me are SO key...i really like "between the buried and me" as well...but i really dont know the genres anymore.

Rather than try and sound smart, I think all you dudes out there should just shut your mouth, rather than bash the direction of metal or what you consider 'classic'. I swear, you guys somehow can manage to dig your way through site after site when streetwear is involved, but you don't know how to look beyond what your local Best Buy sells when it comes to music. Quit citing AC/DC, Sabbath and Zeppelin 'cause you sound like high school kids learning about grunge for the first time.
Also, I don't know why you waste your time arguing with guys like me. And regardless of whether Dom from Brooklyn Projects was a VJ on Headbangers Ball, Riki Rachtmann is the one and only.

i read earlier someone wrote it'd be tight with just the text. nick and i figured anybody and their stepkids can do a text-only graphic, so why not flip the whole damn thang.
and yeah the tour date idea was in the air, but we concluded that the front alone was enough. chocolate actually did a tee like that, if anybody remembers. and when clae was still around they did a really good one, somewhat similar to the tour date idea. the used the names and track lengths of songs that had something to do with racing or used the word "race" in the title, and put them ascending from shortest track to longest track, creating the effect of track and field race times.
and yeah, this smiley's still dope |0

Yea... I have the Chocolate/Girl world tour shirt... it's a Van Halen logo that looks like VH, but has GC.. for girl chocolate instead.
It has dates of the tour on the back.... sick tee.

Since this is fairly photorealistic, would this be process printed with cyan, magenta, yellow, (no black because the tee is black? )

it will probably be 5 colors... white & cmyk. black should print to get those details, especially if white goes down first.
