What is everyone's feedback on the new site and forum? What do you think should be added? Or What Do You Like?

- I like the whole new set up for HB. I think its a great new look for the new year and a rebirth. But IMO there should be color to the forum. suggestions like limegreen/black or yellow/black.Also i like the whole new front page look, done well. Well i dont know what to expect for the new HB, cant wait to see what happens and how it turns out.

I think the new desighn for the hypebeast website and forum is dope. Kevin and his team are definitley doing big things. Its a shame that all the old info on the forums from before didnt go over, but hey its all cool nontheless because everyone gets a fresh start! :)

They could always back up the old database and upload it to the new one as far as info is concerned. (Through the admin since this is php.) The look is a drastic improvement I must say. Nice work guys!! :D

i miss the old set up...nice, simple and to the point.....it stood out from other sites which i use to go to....made it seem real simple and such.....i hope it still gets the job done...HB 1.0 killed it.....2.0 had high expectations....peace

From an honest point of view. I really think the layout and format of the threads, forum to be a clutter. I think names of poster should be located on the side, and the usual format of linear thread should be retained.

Other than that, it seems okay. Seriously it gets so cluttered viewing everything line to lline. You gotta put ease of it for the eye.

lol I have to agree the forum design is a little cluttered and the main page is kinda confusing. But we just have to adapt to change. I feel assured that Hypebeast 2.0 will be biger and better than Hypebeast 1.0 in due time. Evry thing new has its flaws and we have to just wait a little while for the wrinkle to get ironed out.

i like the site, but theres some problems with the forums

first of all it runs inside a hypebeast "frame", so its not even full screen for me (at least not on the res im running)

secondly , all the old stuff got deleted. I dont think it was neccesary to re-do the msg boards seemingly just for a new color scheme...

but i like the new site and its additional features

sorry, we did not redo the forum just for the color scheme.

We felt that this forum (vbulletin) would be better in the long run so that's why we used it.

only problem for me is load times.... old board was much faster and the new one takes forever....

Also the time limit of 30 seconds b/w posts is a little long...

Loving the purple though. Just don't camou it . :)

We will somehow try to optimize it for faster speed later.

We will also cut down on the posting time to maybe 15 seconds.

Really? I can still access both 1.0 and 2.0, maybe you need to delete your temp files cache, and cookies.

I like the new features: guest blogs, delicious bookmarking etc.

1.0 was more like a blog, and 2.0 has evolved more into a online magazine; I guess thats why I'm not stressin' like a few other people about how cluttered the new homepage is. It's not neccessarily cluttered, it all just fits on the screen. Maybe making it scrollable will give it a little whitespace, it'll look "breathable" then and ease the transition.

My only problem is the RSS feed. I get everything published blogs and news. Maybe if you gave the option to subscribing to just the news and each individual blog It'll be less confusing ( I don't know which blog is to which blogger). Also the news only shows the thumbnail and the news headline -theres no content, it used to show the article - then I would have to access HB for what was after the "jump".

I like the upgrade it has more features. Good job Kevin and company. hope the rest of the transistion runs smoothly :)

RSS will be implemented later as well. I know how RSS is the latest tech in blogging so not implementing it would be kind of stupid.

The forum seems ok now but the news section still really sucks, i just dont get why there was the need to change from the normal blog format that has been tried and tested, sites like engaget which im pritty sure gets even more traffic then hypebeast works just fine in that format. First i can no longer check hypebeast on my phone which is pritty disapointing but the more annoying thing is having to click on every news post to look at it. Sorry but unless hypebeast fixs the news i just dont think ill be visiting as much. It makes me really sad cus hypebeast used to be my favorit site :(

i would just like to say that the updated "hypebeast 1.5" is now the best of both the original site and the 2.0. I have even more respect for kevin now then ever. great job and thanks for listening to the constructive critizime :) I still remeber first visiting hypebeast when it was still hosted by blogger im just amazed on how much its grown since then.
