It looked like a gimmick to me.
Wouldnt they also snap easier?
Besides a little extra weight just means you build up more strength.

Yea that's them.. the inside looks like corugated cardboard. I'd like to see the actual weight comparison between old Element decks. Although they probably are stronger..

Used to skate, quit for 2 years, trying to get back. It's kinda hard trying to learn how to skate again and my balance is off, hips be wobblin' like Shakira on a female form of Viagra.

Elements got pop, but it dies out pretty quick IMO. I like skating heavy decks 'cause I have a feel for the board. Next complete:

haha yeah man i am defiantely anticipating what he will design... i hope he makes something nice because some of his shoes have been huge hits, while others were simply terrible, when he did all his shoes for es... With the help and guidance of the lakai guys though, i am sure he will make something decent... only time will tell 8)

I skate been skating everyday so far but I rolled my ankle trying to perfect my pop shuvit so yeah I've been out since Friday xD, I tried skating yesterday but it hurt doing so. Sucks because I still didn't perfect that damn trick :P it takes me 84735908732509834750392 tries to do one so all I can do is ollie and pop shuvit.

Alright, whatever. I SKATE too then, but just skate around the neighborhood, I don't do tricks, because I'm a n00b for tricks, but I can manuever quite well through cars, traffic, downhills ETC.

i use to skate for lyk two years off and on....i got pretty good at vert...as far as street i could do frontside and backside 180's, and shove its, i could olley up to four stairs, got pretty good at nose and board slides...but i could never land a kickflip which is really y i stopped...

i dunno...i mite pick it up again...
