Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and like many other people, trying to focus on working out this summer. My primary focus is to increase the mass in my arm and unfortunatly, I have two 10lb weights. I eat healthy and have whey protein for after workout. So my quesiton is: with the equipment I have, what are some good workout I can do to build up my arm?
Thanks

large amount of reps with high intensity has worked for me, not sure how much mass you want though. It doesn't cost much to invest in heavier weights either.

So the weights I have now are completely useless?

^ no not at all. It just depends on your goals. How much tone and how much mass do you want?

Not sure how to answer the question "how much mass do you want?" I know I can't get much with the weights I have. I'm going to invest in some new one. I just want to know what are some good excercise I can do to work out my tricep, bicep and forearm?

to increase mass, you are going to need something heavier than 2 10lb weights. try getting a membership to an inexpensive gym. Then you need to do exercises like: preacher curls, hammer curls, incline seated curls...and for info your tricep is 2/3 of your arm, so try dips, tricep pull downs, skull crushers, close grip bench, underhand bench press....

If you're trying to gain weight, you have to do fewer reps with more weight. The 10lb's won't cut it, you'll lose weight if you do many reps of 10lbs.

find a local gym to join cuz 10lb weights wont help you increase your mass... to do this u have to start low and steadily keep building ur weight....do about 4 sets of 8-10 reps every day on each workout...u can do arm workouts every day..

u shouldnt do arm workouts everyday! yeah u might gain some size, but muscles need at least 48 hours to recouperate, Trust me I know. In fact you shouldn't work the same muscle every day period. unless you are just doing calisthenics...i.e dips, pushups, pull ups, crunches,

Ha, the best thing to do is find a club like the YMCA and go workout at their gym. Go on their weight machines then do free weight's, etc.

If you're trying to get bigger arms, you dont want to do high reps. You'll want to do low reps on high weight(the heaviest you can handle)
eg. You may be able to curl your 10 lbs weight 100 times, but that won't do as much for your arms as curling a 40lb weight 10 times.

I also suggets you invest a little money into somemore weights, you can get them at most stores like wal-mart, etc, for around $40-$50 for a set of different weights.and push-ups are a great exercise that you can do with absolutely no equipment at all, and it works your arms and your chest. I do 40-50 when i wake up and before i go to sleep and it works good.
