The reason i ask is I am considering advertising my site on a few industry blogs but am not sure if it is worth it. I am picking up a few more brands in the next few weeks and getting new shipments from a few existing brands. So what do you guys think?

generally it can work....just as long as the ads dont look like generlized spam and have something interesting to them...

just dont go plastering nothing but logos across them

im saying as long as the ad represents your product well and isnt a mash up of logos splatterd across it...

a lot of it also depends on the size/placement of the banner/ad

Ads work if they're interactive and attractive.

Unfortunately its costly to produce highly interactive, flash ads.

Just think to yourself, why would I click the ad myself?

Its like a TV commercial.. if you see an interesting commercial, you watch it, if its not, you switch the channel.

im talking about like ads on blogs. for example the ads on the right side of slamxhype.com

it can hurt your pockets lol...

i generally don't click on ads, sans a select few that for whatever reason catch my attention (somehting i haven't seen before, sale, brands i like, etc)

I've clicked a slamxhype logo before. I didn't buy anything though. It's better to get your shit posted in the blogs themselves. This means it has to be good stuff though...

yup...I pretty much just ignore them
