I said that, odds are, someone will take the shirt the wrong way and see the shirt as saying, in a serious tone, "RIP Saddam" which would be especially insulting to a soldier who just spent months in Iraq getting shot at and watching his friends die only to come back to the US and see some dude (apparently) supporting the dictator that we just overthrew.

having been around soldiers, i can tell you that many don't have a favorable view of both the president and saddam. its a job, at the end of the day...not necessarily something they believe in but something that they have no choice in doing. they enlisted and thats part of what comes with joining (doing WHATEVER your commander in chief tells you to do, regardless).

in other words, the shirt is a joke shirt that will get a few stares but i doubt many soldiers would get offended off of it.
