really really cool site! don't really like the name, but some of the tees are cool.

The name sorta corny but after lookin at hte designs...it's almost workin for me. i sorta like em. I can't tell if you guys really believe this thug boss crapola or if you're bein ironic. If you're bein funny/ironic then I'm sorta with it.

Your absolutely right...we did give our line a name that most people wouldn't want to associate with, but our designs speak for themseves. It is a play on the name. I mean how can it be taken so seriously. Honestly though there will be those that take it that way. A lot of the consumers down south live that lifestlye. I think that everyone should relize that you represent the clothes not the other way around. Point here....who's a Billionaire(BBC), are you really a crook(C&C)??? Take it how you want....for me as the Creative Director for the line, I justified the name by saying to me it means "I came form the hood and I now run my own shit!" THUG BOSS.

I kinda agree with you...after seeing their website I know what they are aiming for with the name too. But you gotta understand, a new company is gonna want to gain a decent number of customers from the jump, and having a name like that is gonna A. turn alot of people away instantly and B. require an explaination for those who are even interested in copping any of their pieces...I'm pretty sure the majority of the people who see the name don't automatically think "Oh i see where their going with the name, tryin to be funny and sarcastic"

we're not saying that we dont understand where they're coming from.we're simply saying that the NAME itself is corny. there is a lack of "meaning" when the corny name overshadows the meaning. we're not saying "oh these guys are wanna be thugs, they're wack." the NAME itself PERIOD. well atleast thats how i feel and think most others in here feel

with Thug Boss, first off ive never heard that term before, and because there are sooooo many wack ass hood companies and record labels that have names like that, it is hard NOT to associate it with something else because that sort of thing is already established. now say if they called it Totally Ghetto, while equally stupid as a brand name, it would be easier for people to associate the humor, cuz thats a phrase that is thrown around alot in jest.

not talking shit, but branding is everything and that name doesnt have the ironic impact they were going for. but then again, how is a gold chain shirt ironic anymore since its been done 100 times. you cant be funny telling a joke the same way 100 other people have, you gotta come up with a different angle.
