I travel a lot, and I observe small things when I visit other countries and states such as culture, fashion and atmosphere. I do want to apologize to all out of towners. My main point is the sneaker culture. One of the obvious things I noticed about LA is the laid back vibe. The majority of the kids in the area that I see are very cool in their approach, which is in contrast to kids in NY. Being a native New Yorker, I've never imagined talking bad about my city, but its true. The kids here are very abrasive and uptight, meaning they think they're the best thing walking on Earth. The ones I see try so hard to be what they see on TV, you can always tell by the way their attitude is. They yearn for attention, and wants every passerby to focus on their kicks and clothes. And what makes it worse is that if you have a pair of exclusive kicks, they will stare until their eyes fall out, and whisper "those shits are hard son", but wont have the balls to compliment or at least ask where did you get those from. LA kids could care less, they know if someone is checking out their kicks, but their attitude is " I know i'm fly, who cares what anyone else thinks". Both LA and NY are great cities, whats the deal???:)

LA and NY have been the fashion, music and cultural capitols of this country since before your grandma where born. They've always had that swagger its nothing new. And complaining about it just gives them more fuel so what the point? Some things are just what they are....let it go.

^^^ ehhhhh.... I love LA so much more man. NY has a little too much attitude to the point where its undesirable to deal with.

i dunno really.. some NY People love that attention.. NY has that F* you attitude when it comes to getting their share .. Like comparing the Stash releases at both city's... NY = Disaster , LA = Chill... LA is somewhat more chill.. It's Just the way it is.. New Yorkers aren't conceited.. they really juss don't care about you.. thats pretty much it

I think both NY and LA are cocky mothafuckas..I've never just fully encounter NY but only one time..the few New Yorkers I met were cocky as fuck..I didn't mind it at all..because i'm from Texas and alot of ppl feel like we don't deserve to be cocky or concieted but trust me we are so I can understand that swagger..I've been to LA and Cali..both socal and nocal..and Cali does seem a little more chill but there just as bad when it comes to that high uppity I'm better then you mentality..

Born and raised in Queens, NY. Visited LA a few years ago, and I can't wait to get out there again. Fuck these cornball tough guys in NY. Shit is so played out and corny already.

well..
Im from jersey and grew up around new york my whole life
and now I live in LA
so I have gotten to experience life in both places
To me nothing will EVER take the place of back east
EVER
I miss the pizza, and the attitudes, and the road rage
But LA is my new home
So I have learned to embrace it for what it is
