Born and raised in Houston...and Premium Goods is something we've desperately needed in htown for a LONG time...it's the only sneaker/streetwear place we've really got. I've been to a lot of sneaker spots around the country and Premium Goods is right up there with the best of them...

Now Motive 807 in Austin, on the other hand, seems like they're just trying too hard. I hate how they're trying to have the whole NYC sneaker boutique vibe going on at Motive 807, (life Alife in nyc, where they think they're too cool to talk to their customers)...the thing i like about JFord at Premium Goods is even though she's from nyc, she understands that her store is in TEXAS, not NYc...and she's actually helpful and friendly with all her customers...

Yeah, I went up there this afternoon. Place is nice but small. Very limited selection, about 1/2 dozen Vans, a dozen or so Adidas, only 2 pairs of Nikes from what I remember, white lucky cat sb's and and some Vanilla Ice blazers. A few pairs of Converse. Only pair that caught my eye though were the Ramones ed. all stars. Reeboks they had a lil' over a dozen. They had the Royal Flush pack, as well as the easter ed. Court Victory and Omni pumps. They also had them Omni's in the silver/blk/red colorway.
No clothes but they had books. Mostly coffee table type books about indie culture, hip-hop culture, skate culture, books on sneakers and shoes, street art, fine art etc...seemed like they had more books than shoes! =D
Talked to the guy who was running the place. Dude's name is Chris, nice cat...said they opened around mid Aug. They're still waiting for some contracts so they'll be getting more shit in steadily. I asked about gear, he said they'll be getting some Staple, Kid Robot, a couple other brands I can't remember and some stuff for the ladies...
Store's got lots of potential. Nice design, cool location. Dope business cards too...Drop by and check em' out.

Went there today. Very nice lay out, nice atmosphere, great location, friendly service but very little great kicks. He also told me that they will get some SBs and other shit in at the end of the month. Obviously less known and less traveled then Premium Goods but also less shoes. Also, the parking in the area in general is just horrible but he said after the construction the parking will open up. I'll be back later this month. I actually saw this advertised at sneaker pimps but didnt know what it was.

Went to Kemah this past summer. Its cool...but its more or less a family spot then a post for youn people to chill at. But it all depends on what u wanna do cause if you just wanna go down there for a bite to eat thats cool.
