That's exactly what I did today. I had to get some footage for a class project so was a perfect excuse to go check out some spots.

Laced didn't have much heard who I believe is the owner talking to a customer saying they are practically all out of all the gear they got especially the Crooks and Castles and that next time they will be ordering a little more to keep up. He then said that in 2 weeks they will have the C&C hoodies and fitted. Wasn't sure how much they would be.

Concepts didn't have anything kicks wise besides Greedy Genius had a few Greedy Genius tees left aswell. They also had Coup De Grace tees but no Paris Hilton ones probably sold out.

Karma Loop I drove by didn't feel like parking and walking to them because a week or 2 earlier they didn't have anything new and their selection isn't really much for kicks at all.

Only place I didn't stop by was Bodega i have never been there but danm it next time I will go.

I just moved from Boston a couple months back. To be honest the sneaker heads in Boston seemed more on it then a lot of the Chicago dudes here. But the shops in Boston are dope. Bodega is very hot. Karma Loop is "coo",,the white dude there is the nicest cat in the world. Overall the Boston cats were super chill...very helpful outside of that spot in Harvard Square where those dudes are pretty much dick heads outside this one head I copped my 10 deep hoody from.


Really the thing I found was hurting the most in Boston was the music scene. But the streetwear was hooot. Can't wait to go back and visit in a couple of months!

Every time i'm in Boston i hit up Concepts, Karmaloop, Bodega and Laced. The guys are great at every shop. I was just down there last weekend.

Bodega is doing a really good job right now, great customer service and they're getting almost everything. It's definitely a visually appealing shop with stock but you gotta get there on the right days.

The Karmaloop guys are chill too, always there to help you out when you're just wandering through the store.

Concepts is a small streetwear/sneaker section in back of the Tannery. They are always sold out and that speaks for itself. You gotta get there when "it" drops. Great shop with alot of traffic.

Laced was chill, they were pretty much sold out too but i hear they're getting a shipment of all the new sb's soon. Nice looking skate shop...chill environment.

They didn't have much for me. I picked up a 10 Deep tee. "shines like gold" one. They had a couple other 10 deep tees. They had a few hoodies. They still had the TK hoody but only small so ill wait till i get mine offline. Shoes i didnt see much that pleased me besides this one pair of Reeboks but thats it. Nothing major.

Oh but dont get me wrong it was my first time there and I was amazed. I love the whole having a real store and then going through a soda machine to get to the back. Shit is nuts. Inside is big yet small its not huge but still plenty of more room than other shops. Love the wood and look overall. Oh and they didnt have the mafia pack but the dude told me check Laced possibly(although they dont). And to me that was cool that they would tell me about another shop. Because with other shops like Laced it sort of seems like they dont want you going to other shops. Ive heard the staff say shit about Concepts before and to me its business but still.

Word I agree fully with you man. Laced is the kind of shop that just doesnt want you there unless your spending money. Which makes sense because they dont want random kids or people just being there but at the same time in my mind this scene is a close knit one. In which you get to know each other etc. I mean come on how many guys are you going to meet that spend $200 on skateboarding shoes?

Concepts also seems like a nice shop people seem good. Rob Heppler widely known dude(does weekly drop etc) he works there. Have yet to meet the motherfucker but ive talked to him numerous times online always tells me come down.

Karma Loop although doesnt seem to be offering really hot shit although havent been in a month so might be wrong but even though thats the case the staff especially this one dude is really chill.

And yea laced with the buzzer. I mean the shop is small and they dont want to get robbed. but that area isnt exactly the worst and why not have it so you have to buzz people in once it gets dark. Shit is gay. Especially when they only buzzed in like 2 people max during their sale.

Hey guys just got back from boston.... Karmaloop had their normal stuff, but they had a few of the Staple george washington fitteds.

Bodega was running a bit dry, I picked up one of the cosby all over prints.. they have a whole bunch of newer alife stuff, as well as alife beenies. But i talked to the manager dude and he said they are getting a huge shippment within the next 2 weeks. Oh yah they had a bunch of once upon a time hoodies, the ones that are based out of NYC i think, one had an all over starwars pattern, another had like a miami vice lookin pattern, and they had a few Leyroy Jenkins hoodies ($250).

Laced had a few new crooks shirts, and some nice J$ shirts

Concepts had the new purp pigeons, as well as some once upon a time gear. Other than that nothing special.

no one had the mafia pack or the 3 Bears pack. :(

This will basically start another discussion but how do you all feel about Eastern Boarder? I know it's not located in Boston per say. But it is around New England. But I dunno they are a pretty big skate shop for the area and yet still lack with stuff. They never know when they will get anything especially the Leominster one. And truthfully they could find out atleast something if they asked or for instance called the warehouse.

That's what the Nashua one did they called up the warehouse to find out about the Terry Kennedy Hoodies. But especially in the shoe part they havent gotten anything over the top.

Which sucks because i guess maybe some of you can remember if you went but they apparently got for instance the Hawaiis and i believe the tiffs when they came out. Nah i have nothing against EB it's an alrite skate shop. Pricing is fair etc. and i understand its not a boutique but i guess i wish they were just a little bit more on top of it but of course because of my bias. correct. Just like Flight Club and other shops they do consignment. Where the shop gets a percent of the sale and you get the rest. Not bad if you have a good collection and want to get rid of some gear.

What was released recently that were substantially big or wanted highly. Mafia pack and Bears pack. To my knowledge and its been confirmed here. That they had them but they sold out fast. They werent at bad prices either. Their bears were 50 bucks lower than Laced! So from that I assume they are on top of it since this year Nike hasnt released anything huge besides those and they had them.

First of all, Laced is not on colombia street or whatever someone said, its on the intersection on colombus and mass ave. Its a clear shot from hynes/convention center down mass ave (15 minute walk).

Secondly, as cool as bodega is in terms of its hidden premise, its not really worth it for sneakers. They have like a tire seventy billion nike account and all of their shit is highly overpriced because they are hidden behind a snapple machine. I only ever cop shit there if Im getting the employee discount.

Thiiiird, concepts is sick but the people there for the most part are assholes. If they don't know you or think that your legit enough for a certain pair of kicks they will "not have them in your size" after looking in the back for like 20 seconds.

But other than that its all pretty word. Im just waiting for laced and bodega to get even better gear which they definately will as time goes by.

You have any idea what kind of discounts atleast? although by the time you post in here might be to late. I dunno i'd love to visit the shop but unless i know i will leave with some shit i cant justify the drive.

Also truthfully i dont think theres been major hate in this thread. for the most part people have just given constructive criticism. Some shops at times the staff seems not to pleasant but that could be due to numerous things.

Overall I think both Concepts and Laced are keeping Boston up with the shit.

yo yo whats good yall. hit up some shops yesterday, although not bodega (apparently not open on tuesdays all winter??? haha my boy works there and i didnt even know, got played).

karmaloop was kinda weak, alot of AD (a few hoodies, the purp. coat, those vests, etc), ALL the stussy world tour new eras (not feelin em), some CLH star hoodies, of course a ton of LRG shit, but not much that was lookin hot.

hit up manhattan (thanks for the tip) on winter st to cop some croc stars (lovin em so far), they def upped their game for kicks (one piece dunk lows, goretex dunks, some nice jordans, etc) and their prices were dope compared to alot of places. also had some shmack and mike hoodies.

didnt have time to hit up concepts or laced, but i copped a new era at lids. ya, but hook us up, whats The One gonna carry?
