Real talk, I only drank a beer in concepts at 10:30 AM because the new store opens later. Otherwise it would be 9:30 am beers after finishing the XL Regla from dunks like it was in the old store. Concepts will be releasing their collaborative Nike SB "Lobster" Dunk on Saturday, May 31st. The shoe, inspired by the seafood heritage of New England, will be available in a limited edition set, available exclusively at Concepts. The first 200 pairs, which include the limited packaging, come equipped with a lobster claw rubber band, a tee shirt, a condiment box (which includes lobster shell cracker, fork, bib, an extra set of laces, and wet nap) and a poster, all put into a traditional paper bag used by typical, New England lobster retailers. Not only will the packaging and bag be branded with the "Concepts Fishing Company" graphic, but the release at Concepts will also be catered by Legal Seafoods, who will be providing lobster appetizers. The release will be followed by a raffle for some additional exclusive goodies. The special pack will be extremely limited to 200 pairs, and will retail for $150 USD and the first 50 pairs will come with a special, limited edition wooden box.

By no means are we encouraging people to come camp out for these shoes, but it looks like that is how its gonna go down. We have people from Florida, Chicago, and NY already up here for the shoes and planning on getting inline Weds, and Thurs.

We are only allowing people one pair. If they would like to get back in line and try to get a second pair they are welcome to, but I doubt that anyone will make it through twice and get a second pair.

As far as people getting these shoes early from Japan, I have been told that they are high quality knock offs.... Our SB rep has told us that not a pair other than the samples have made it out of storage. I also heard about someone that was on "tour" in Japan coming home with a bunch of pairs of "What the Dunks" too. All that glitters aint gold though....

Our first priority is to take care of our customers/people in line before anyone else. We do not do phone orders for kicks, so in order to get them you will have to be in line on Saturday. Celeb or not. Trust me we wish everyone could sleep in and come strolling in Saturday afternoon and get their size, but the nature of the beast (or crustation) will not allow it.

Drift, I put 2 chairs down, for myself and my friend that was with me. The person in front of me, who I knew from back in like elementary school said he would watch them, and that he was number 38 or so..

I just said that we were going around the corner to get food at Fire and Ice and we'd be back. Well we come back and the line is around the corner, and the kid I knew along with our chairs, were gone.I was right in front of the store that was no longer there, there was brown paper bags all over the windows so it was a pretty obvious spot I was at. The kids there just seemed so stuck up, and seemed to not really bother with anyone, so I said fuck it and just left.

So I ask somebody and they said they told people to go get numbers. Alright, what a pointless thing to do, since I know other people weren't in their seat, so what happened, did they get kicked out of line also? People got in line the order they showed up at, it was REALLY pointless to have numbers. I would've had that wooden box, but it's not even that, I'm pissed that I lost my shit, and my place in line.
