He is one of the few dudes that can actually defend Kobe, and now he will be working with Kobe. He's not some amazing shooter, but he can score points and that defense that they lacked the 2 years ago against the Celtics, well that will be a little better now with Artest.

So just got back from the Kid Cudi concert, first off House of Blue's seriously forces it, they were checking hardcore for alcohol before hand and all this shit and then 10 minutes into the show people are already smoking, shits a joke.

I was trying to buy a pair of shoes today at KarmaLoop, I was gonna purchase them the night before at the Rep/Street Team party, but a worker told me that Orchard Skate Shop might have that shoe in a bigger size since they only had one size left at KarmaLoop. So I went to Orchard skate shop today and of course they had only one size left and it was the same size as KL.

so i went back to KL since I have the 30% off Street Team card and then was told it could not be used on sale items, even though none of this was stated when I was given the card, but hey its all good. I brought this up to the girl and she told the other dude to explain it to me, I told him its all good i just wasnt told this prior.

Then she says how I won't find these shoes that price anywhere anyways, even though orchard had it for the same price and then she even said the stupidest shit "I can sell it to you for $100 the retail price and give the 30% off that way" Which would have came out to $70...the shoes were $60. k, let that slide said no thanks I can probably get it elsewhere. Reason I said that is because my friend has the same pair hardly used, and is my size.

After I said that she said "OH IF YOUR HUSTLE IS THAT GOOD YOU DONT EVEN NEED OUR REP CODE OR SALE" I wasn't even sure what to say and honestly was about to go off on her especially with that shit coming at me, considering ive purchased from KL way back when their store first started and have bought online countless times.

In all honesty i think Boston heads for the most part are calm as hell during camp outs (who the fuck isn't sick of hearing "yo that's not how shit goes down in new york" all the time?), we sit we wait we got each others backs and that's it, but then all these cats from NY and other regions come in and throw their cut throat attitudes into the mix then the fangs come out. to give some credit its not every crew from NY that stirs shit up, i met some people this time around that definitely restored my faith in out-of-towners.

I know concepts is working on a new way to run these releases (please no fucking raffles!) to help us all in the end, just gotta give it some time. I was trying to buy a pair of shoes today at KarmaLoop, I was gonna purchase them the night before at the Rep/Street Team party, but a worker told me that Orchard Skate Shop might have that shoe in a bigger size since they only had one size left at KarmaLoop. So I went to Orchard skate shop today and of course they had only one size left and it was the same size as KL.

so i went back to KL since I have the 30% off Street Team card and then was told it could not be used on sale items, even though none of this was stated when I was given the card, but hey its all good. I brought this up to the girl and she told the other dude to explain it to me, I told him its all good i just wasnt told this prior.

Then she says how I won't find these shoes that price anywhere anyways, even though orchard had it for the same price and then she even said the stupidest shit "I can sell it to you for $100 the retail price and give the 30% off that way" Which would have came out to $70...the shoes were $60. k, let that slide said no thanks I can probably get it elsewhere. Reason I said that is because my friend has the same pair hardly used, and is my size.

After I said that she said "OH IF YOUR HUSTLE IS THAT GOOD YOU DONT EVEN NEED OUR REP CODE OR SALE" I wasn't even sure what to say and honestly was about to go off on her especially with that shit coming at me, considering ive purchased from KL way back when their store first started and have bought online countless times.

It's really not the inability to use the VIP card that bothered me. Shit I was expecting it not to work on sale items, but wasn't told anything so though maybe that wasn't the case. Now I know, and still think its cool that you guys did that, so theres no hate towards that at all. I like the idea.

I guess first off I have to ask if it was a serious suggestion ( I am guessing it was since more than one person mentioned it and someone even +1'd it). Often times people know what shoes are coming out and what the release date is before us. We get calls all the time asking about some shoe most of us never heard of that is starting to hit the internet. This is exactly why we did not want to leak the Blue Lobster info. I cant think of a shoe in recent history that was that hyped being made public only 10 days before its release. Everything up until June 10th was speculation and rumors, June 10th the video of the shoe dropped, and we released the shoe on the 20th. I think that is the closest thing you will get to a same day notification of a release because of the internet. The only reason we did it 10 days in advance is because some other skate shop started posting the info on various forums and blogs. We were hoping for a week of announcement to be honest. Dont get me wrong I think sites and forums like this are great for communication as well as marketing, but they are also the reason that you will never be able to keep something a secret until its release date or keep the release date a secret for that matter. So are we a part of the solution or are we (members of the site and people that read it) a part of the problem?

Yeah we would have loved to have that luxury but, we didn't have the chance to do so because other shops were getting them and announcing the release date on other forums and blogs as I said. The release date was already out there before we put it out. Ours was just kind of confirming what had already leaked. So on this release we had more control than usual, but still the internet kind of spoiled the release.

Things like the Livestrong's though we have no chance at all. Those release dates are well published all over the net.... Sites like 23isback has Jordan release dates for the next 6 months already. Its a lot tougher than you think to keep this hush hush. In theory its a great idea.

I feel what yall are saying about the home town people getting first dibs.... But lets be real for a second. There are plenty of "homers" at these line ups too. Yea House of Blues was not a good spot for this, or atleast for their setup. It made it seem extra small, I think they should have had more booths on the main floor (maybe they were expecting more people to stand there for the performers) and then going upstairs became a hassle, went up a couple times to do the verizon texting shit and just to move around.

And yea, I really saw no one with anything crazy, I mean I'm not one to talk I just wore some custom Air Max's but, I'm also not in the game anymore really and really only went cus my brother got them for $5.

I thought HOB was a good venue, but could have been set up better. It was rough just having the one bar on the second floor as that area became congested. I guess overall it was exactly what I expected it to be. As far as heat goes I didnt see much. I thought the shoes people were trying to sell for the most part were just ok. There was a lot of newer stuff that people were trying to move.

Mayor Menino has been mayor for almost 16 years and wants 4 more..He has been Mayor for as long as I can remember. Under Menino only his buddies get liquor licenses and building permits, tourism is down, artist and creative people leave town, the crime rate on a per 100,000 person rate is double NY, and the rules and regulations such as bar closing time and having parties etc. are excessively strict and there is a double standard for everything.. Flaherty & Yoon have promised term limits so an entrenched dictatorship like Menino's will never happen again!

It costs the t like 3 times the fare per passenger to run late night service. Those of us old enough to remember when they had the night owl that ran till like 3 back in the day with buses along subway routes only lasted like 2 years because even though it charged twice the normal fair, they still spent 5 bucks for every passenger that paid 2.50 and lost their shirt. And they can't run the rails all night like NYC because we only have single track lines so it has to close at night for the agency to repair work. As for the subway stopping before the bars close, the only viable way to fix that is to close the bars EARLIER and nobody wants that...

odeezy - how many hours and how many lines? The essential problem is the t fares do not cover the costs of running the t. The mbta gets 20% of the sales tax collected and still can't balance it's budget. The fares the t picks up staying open won't cover increased operating costs. A big part of the t's problem is pension liability but I don't think anyone who's working for a living thinks it's that ridiculous that a job actually pay you enough to live on. I mean, that's what we all want, right? The main problem is that most govt jobs are obtained through hookups and there's no limit on collecting multiple government pensions, so therefore most of the pension dollars are going to people who have hookups and like 3 different pensions, and not to guys who busted ass their whole life so they could retire comfortably. Also, the T lets you retire after something like 26 years with a full pension, so if you can get in early, you've got it made. However, the early retirement also makes it so it's not the same people maintaining a stranglehold on these decent paying jobs while the rest of use work in the dreaded private sector for nickels on the dollar. There's really no cure other than massive capital reappropriation and redistribution. Sure the rich will piss and moan about the socialism for a while, but so long as they can maintain the means of production the capital will flow back to them eventually anyway as the peasants will just end up trading them back their paper money for more goods at the end of the day, as you're talking about an isolated redistribution scam and not an ongoing socialist state. Once the state seizes enough assets to fund the projects it wants it spends the money and it flows through tvehe system over and over again like capitalism wants. However the government doesn't use eminent domain to seize assets for real projects, they just take family homes to sell to developers who want to build golf courses because a country club will raise property values and taxes and therefore is under 21st century judicial logic "in advancement of the public good" because pricing the proles out of the neighborhood is what those with power want.
