As far as the Manny thing goes.... I have mixed emotiions. If he did not want to be here then what can ya do? I personally wanted him to say just for the fact him or ARod are the best right handed hitters alive, and being able to watch his approach to every at bat was really something special. As a baseball fan, coach, and player I loved watching the little things he did as a situational hitter, and being able to drive the ball to the opposite field. I dont think Jason Bay will be what Manny was but I think Jason bay could be what Manny is going to be for the rest of his career. I think they will throw up the same numbers or pretty close from here on out.

They obviously packed it in for 08. Our bullpen is bad enough with hansen, and worse without him. Moss was a key bench player. The whole point is neither of the young dudes was really gonna be an impact player, and we basically kept manny for next year (compare his stats to bay's) at 7.5 instead of 20. With that extra 12.5 hopefully we can get another decent bat and/or some more pitching. I wouldnt be surprised if they won the wildcard, but I honestly don't have much hope of a World Series this year now.

Expressions has been doing their thing for a minute and they've been around a lot longer than Bodega.

X2 supposedly had twice the amount of Infrareds as Bodega, so take it as you wish...

Do you see the installments Nike puts in the expressions downtown store? They put work into it.

Not trying to get at Bodega or anything cuz they're good dudes, I'm just saying that expressions has earned it's respect, and if they want to open up a 'boutique' style store, more power to them.

They love the fact the the Expressions of the world move tons of GR's, and they love the Concepts, and Bodega's of the world for putting their more exclusive pieces next to high end exclusive brands. In my opinion concepts has been the best store in boston for a while, Call it high expectations if you want. Concepts has usually gotten everything except tier 0 stuff in the past and they are way more popular now after the lobster and the new store opening

I seen the history channel thing. It was crazy that most of it was filmed in Boston. Re-Up got some shine in there too due to them filming the dunkXchange that was held there as well as did Bodega. The only thing I wished is that when they talked about teir 0 accounts that they actually showed some examples of teir zero shoes. Everything on the shelves at Bodega that they filmed was all GR stuff. I am sure that is all editing on the History Channel part, as I know Bodega has some heat, but the stuff they showed was just the run of the mill stuff and any sneaker head watching it would have been unimpressed. It was dope that one of my favorite sneaker did get shine though... The zoom Flight 95 (1st jay Kidd). Dope shoe. Eff what ya heard.

The roots made 2 good records. I mean, lars ulrich is a horrible drummer and metallica made some good albums. Its amazing what recording one drum sound at a time and sampling can do.

I dropped by 379 Club in Allston a couple months ago and talked to the guy that owns the place. It looks pretty legit. Had a pool table and VIP lounge in the basement.

Haircut is expensive, but if you're going to school here and you get the membership, you can drop in whenever you want. Might be worth it to people who get their hair buzzed more than once a month.

Straight tumbleweeds in here now. Its been a rough 4 months. From the Lobster/Escape Pack drop till late August this place was buzzin. I think the Bean needs a rest for a few. Everyone is plotting what they are going to do for fall....

On a totally unrelated note, I just returned home last week from MAGIC out in Vegas. On thing I can not wait to pass is this 80's look/craze. It just does not look right. These kids are out here wearing stuff that was not cool first time through in the 80's and or combined styles from the early, mid , and late 80-early 90's.... the stuff they are throwing together is a mess. I cant cosign anyone who is trying to do this right now. Not a good look at all. I mean think of how much the styles have changed over the past 4 or 5 years. Now picture some kids trying to piece that back together 15 years from now and what it would look like. We would have a bunch of skinny jean, throwback jersey, streetwear fitted, SB rocking kids runnin around talking about they are doing the vintage 2000 look..... adn those of us that actually experienced it would look at them like they dont get it, much like we are looking at these wannabe 80's babies.

I am honestly happy about what I seen at MAGIC though.... Looks like everyone is cleaning it up and becoming more mature in 2009. Def a good look.

The game is definitely changing for the better and yeah '09 is looking way up from everything I saw. I was way more impressed this Magic than last years for sure.

About halfway through last season I thought that Brady would be a lock for the Madden 09 cover.... Touchdown record, undefeated reg season etc. I thought for sure he was doomed this season. Then when I heard Favre got the cover I thought we were in the clear. Guess I was wrong. I still feel that things are going to end badly for Favre. The Madden Jinx is one force that is unexplained, and all powerful. There are 4 things that I do not trust in this world.... They said for like the last 3 years Brady's been on the injury report every week for something questionable or minor, sunday was the first time he wasn't on it at all and its the first time he got injured hahah. Definitely some kind of curse, they'll win 10 games and lose in the first round.
