t-shirt company, I got 3 solid designs so far and a sick name, but I need to know how I can register/trademark my companie's name. Please help me out, or point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!!! P.S you guys will be the first to see the shirts when they're done printing.

Do I need a patent, or would a trademark or something easier to get work?

thanks for the feedback! I'm really just looking for the simplest way to insure that no one else will be able to use my name except me, so if anyone knows what this would involve, please share the knowledge!

a cheap way to secure your shit is to print out your design/logo/name etc. whatever you want to trademark and mail it to yourself in a self-addressed envelope. When it passes through the post office it get's Time stamped. So if someone decideds to jack one of your idea's and you go as far as taking it to court you have legal proof that it was your's first. It's not the best way to secure your shit but it beats paying $300+ in legal paperwork.

hey buddy heres a tip...don't spend a single cent on legal fees when your starting, your a small company, you don't even know if you are going to make it so why spend money on something that will not help you later on if you mess up? registering should not be of concern at this stage.

yea just put yourself out there first and worry about registering IF you get big.try to go to your local shops n "pitch your line" to them as well.

we should get free tees for helping haha jp.but good luck with everything

yea bro, unless you got a shitload of money, which you probably do, who knows,,,gettin a trademark is useless right now, even my lawyer friend said so, he sees so many people jump into it and fail,,,be wise to use the money on designs so you can make more,,the more the merrier when you first startin out,,see which ones people like more anddd etc etc....wats your company name anyways that your soo protective of it,,i doubt you will tell us, but just curious if its a hot name or not...
