This is ridiculous everybody knows Kobe was the most outstanding and amazing player to watch this year and the most valuable player to his team. Take Shawn Marion away from the Suns and they wouldn't break 500. He is more valuable to the Suns than Nash because he fills almost every single statistical category and Nash cannot carry a team on his back and score the points needed to win. This would be like John Stockton winning MVP over MJ. It is Steve Nash's job to make his teammates better, he's a point guard. Kobe is a shooting guard and his role is to score points and make things happen. He proved in game 7 that when he isn't a ball hog his team cannot win and yet he still gets criticized by everyone. It is sickening to see the amount of disrespect this talented athlete receives. It is even worse that the media votes on this, it should be based on the players and staff of each team in the NBA because they know the real deal unlike some bitter writers and analysts who judge Kobe for every little thing he does. The voting was so out of synch that Kobe came in 2nd with first place votes and 4th overall. How can the best player in the league get so many 1st and 4th place votes and only a few 2nd and 3rd place votes. Not only that, look at Tim Duncan and where he finished in the voting, dude was a scrub this year compared to Tony Parker and only got those votes off of reputation, character, and respect from the media.

Nash doesn't have any D and he can't score at will and carry his team like an MVP should, also Nash cannot make the big plays like Kobe, that is why the Suns could not pull out close games, he has had so many turnovers in late game situations.
