I think we all know why Supreme does Collabs. Unlike MOST other companies that do them, Supreme does it for cost reasons, like the northface jacket. $388 retail which isnt that much more than some of north faces good shit. i remember reading that if they tried producing that jacket in house it would cost twice as much, whereas doing a collab keeps costs down.

i think most of their S/S '07 line had a very early 90's feel to it; the "supreme1994" hoodie, those crazy polo shirts, mesh t-shirts etc...

these glasses are as 80's as it gets though.

Well as I mentioned in the Supreme x Fila thread, I think the colorways of the new bags are VERY 80's, the new Fila collab is pretty 80's as well, I'm not knocking reviving certain brands or colorways if they think it will sell but having grown up in the 80's a lot of this stuff coming out are items and colors that I wasn't a fan of the first time they dropped.

they arent low quality, they are the same as they were in the 80's. its just that since supreme made them bust out an old mold, and simply the fact that its supreme, they can charge 160 and sell most of them. so yeah, not worth 160, but they arent low quality.

Nah..when they re-release the frogskins, they're only going to pick select skate/surf shops for them to be sold in. I keep buggin' the Oakley rep for some type of clues to see where they're going to be but no luck. She did say that she'll be releasing a store guide, but can't promise that they'll ship to those stores. Just going to have to search it out...
