Really? That's good because they look better than the originals. The sole looks like the same ones Vans is pushing real hard right now with those re-issues of some of their older vulcanized models.

I believe it's arabic script, I don't know arabic tho but I'm guessing it says Diamond Suppy Co. Ill kicks tho, I like that model of GG, not a fan of the AF1 type so as im not a fan of af1's to begin with

damn, im a little disappointed. i had higher expectations! but none the less, theyre pretty dope. just not as dope as i thought a greedy genius x diamond collab could be... now it all depends on price!

OH DAM! That is not the final version of the shoe and I don't know why that
was even being shown to anyone. The one pictured was the first sample and thr has been a
lot of changes since then. I will post the final version when I get my hands on it this week.

No biggie tho.

vans has always been putting out there "old models" it's not some reissue that they are pushing. you've always been able to get their "old models" Vans have been using the vulk sole forever. but anyway, i hate GG and no matter who they collaborate with their shoes are still garbage imo

I almost like it. I think one issue I have is the colorway. And the other is that triangle near the toebox. Just kinda irks me. But Nick did say that these aren't the final product. I'd like to check that out first before I make a decision

My point was, the sole on those GG's kiya posted looks kind of similar to them.

NO. the sole on Vans has NEVER changed. EVER. and ive been wearing them all my life. and no, companies like nike RETRO'd their old shoes, meaning they were discontinued (not produced at all) and then they started producing them again. Sk8 hi's, eras, classics, half cabs, chukkas, etc have never stopped being in production since they first started producing them. therefore NOT RETRO.

You got me on the re-issue part, maybe that wasn't the word I should have used because it has to technically go out of production to be a "re issue",right? Remix fits better.

But still, I'm not saying Vans stopped making the shoes. But what I am saying is that they sort of altered, some of the models as of lately.

Not a fan of the triangle either, but overall it's quite nice. Would like to see it under better lighting though. It'd be nice if the next iteration was a bit "slimmer". The sole is a huge improvement...
