So me and my girl are heading down to NYC next week for the week. I already am planning on hitting the obvious places in terms of shoes and clothes but I have no clue on where to go for a nice dinner. Basically we want to go for one really nice dinner and money isn't that big of an issue (nothing too crazy though) Are there any hidden gems you guys know of or any favourites that are worth checking out? Type of cuisine doesn't matter as we are both open to anything. Thanks alot

Lombardi's on Spring is good if you're up for pizza plus it's close to all of the stores that you'll probably be hitting that day.

Little Italy in downtown SOHO, right next to all the clothing spots.

agreed, their pizza ain't all that.

if you want a quintessenital NY slice, Joe's on 6th Ave/Carmine St is probably the greatest thing i've ever tasted.

if you want some off-the-charts ramen/inexplainable asian cuisine, try Momofuku on 1st ave/10th street.

if you want some dirt cheap dim-sum/stick to your ribs chinese cuisine, try New Green Bo on Bayard St (between Mott & Mulberry)

for great italian, Frankies 17 Spuntion on Clinton St (b/t Houston & Stanton) is top. one my fav restaurants in the city.

Frankie's and Momofuku aren't tradional by any means. this is new york. go there with an open mind and you won't be let down.
