Hi guys,

i bought a pair of bapesta online at "CliffEdge", and the price is about $230 CAN. However, i got charge for $80 tax by the custom...
The reason that i got charge is because the guy put the actual price of the shoes on the parcel...:hmmm:

Do you guys have the similiar situation? ... I do'nt wanna pay that extra $80...anything i can do? like...should i ask "CliffEdge" to pay the tax money for me? ...

help please. Thanks

same thing happened to me once..
you just have to ask Ko( from cliffedge) to put like 10,000 yen on the parcel..

then it's all good

is there anything i can do to not pay the tax?
or..do is it possible to ask cliffedge to pay it for me?

my frd came up an idea, but don't know if it works or not..
like... i am not going to pick up the shoes, and it will send bak to Japan. Then, i ask Ko to send it to me again, and this time put less amount of price on the package. so i can avoid the tax...

do u guys think this will work?

Thanks a lot for the help :)

in theory if they are cool enough to send to you again, but in the end they are your responsibility, and they probably dont want something marked return to sender coming back to them so they have the hastle of reselling.

since they have been delivered to your local post office however, i dont think they will even return them, they will probably just hold on to them until you pic them up, after all, the authorities dont take kind to tax evasion.

just pay the tax and take it as a lesson learned, always ask for low markings and gift on items!
