I was debating weather or not to put this in the new and upcoming section but i decided on this one. I was wondering when labels use pictures of famous people like Paris Hilton and Lil Kim do they need permission? Just wondering...........:)

I'd assume smaller, "unknown" lines get away with it cause I doubt they garner enough attention to really get called on it.

Exactly. These small independent labels can do it, but say if a company like Ecko put it out, I'm sure they'd need permission.

But seriously, why did you use Paris Hilton as an example?!?! Do you think she'd really give permission to Coup De Grace for that tee shirt?!?!

bigger companies get away with it by putting like a black bar over the eyes or changing a little something on there face so its not them

the people from coup told me that paris saw the shirt at brooklyn projects and copped 2. Dunno what she will do with it though but i doubt she will do anything against them since she is friends with BP

I remember that angelina jolie one, I think it was a stussy collab (I think with nexus or something), shit was siiick, but it was vector and made her look like medusa so maybe they didn't have to..
