I think it's exclusively for gat totin' gangstas and dope boys. However, the flea markets and cornerstore knock-offs have reduced it to ghetto trash.

Aspiring designers: Do whatever you can to keep your shit out of these bootleggers hands. They can dead a brand/design quick.
