IQRMND: "what brand(s) are you not feeling at the moment?"
CMON: "I think there are brands out there that don't get by on merit of design and quality of product, but get the thumbs up 'cause they are nice guys and have a blog or pictures with other credible designers with brands. Forget about "Stop Snitching" or "Stop Co-signing" for mediocrity. I think it's pretty suspect when good labels co-sign for another brand they know is not hot. It's cool to be friends but seriously, sayin' your man's shit is hot 'cause he's your man is suspect. It makes your taste questionable itself, let companies and their products prove themselves."
Now I'm not trying to stir up anything, but given c'mon wealth sells mostly all the major players except for 1 in particular (which I couldn't figure out why until now) and the things said in that statement, concludes me to think that some sneak dissing is going on...

yea, i was thinking the same thing when reading this.. and i've been wondering for awhile why Cmonwealth fucks with damn near every streetwear BUT The Hundreds.. especially considering their recent popularity boost with the Paisleys.
i figured it was something personal that was going on between the two. to be honest, sometimes TH makes you think "WTF??" but allot of times they just drop thought provoking tees. and that's why i fuck with them the way i do.

I don't know why anyone would be upset over that "Pharrell Can't Skate" shirt.
I mean, it's probaly the truth, he can't skate. He skated in his youth, but not now.
It's just that skateboard kids and the whole industry gets butthurt when someone from outside the scene starts a company. I know this cause I have skated for many years and have never seen such a backlash towards a company (Ice Cream). Sure the Ice Cream team isn't that great, but Kevin Booker is pretty good.
Personally, I think Ice Cream is good for skating. I think it's good they make higher end skate apparel, if you will. Sort of along the lines of Supreme, but not really.
Sorry I'm totally off topic... But I'm just trying to relate, why would Commonwealth or Pharrell be upset over that shirt anyways.

well, Pharrell is the 3rd partner in Cmonwealth.. so they're affiliate.. if a brand is openly affiliated with another brand that makes a tee comin' at your bussiness partner, i can understand why you wouldn't order product from them. there's also variables involved in a situation like that though.

if it is what ya'll trying to say it is its just a store and a guy who skates taking s stab at some guys who make the clothes they wanna make. Its funnier to me that they are purposely trying to cause the rip. I'm chalking it up to hating and a hater is a cornball anyways so to me they look like cornballs for hating. If they dno't wanna stock the products I'm al for that because thats their right, but trying to sneak diss just so it get discussed via the internet is some silliness and it proves they care too much, because you don't see the hate going he other way.
be all end all why do they care?
as far as the supposed biting thing, please like 8-% of the streetwear market looks likes biting. i dunno if they dit on purpose, but I doubt it, that whole "cool guy" handle came to a biol in the last year so seeing it on made shirts was inevitable. What the market draws from to cmoe up with designs is usually so obvious anyways that its bound to happen over and over again

i normally agree with you but....... The concept IS different but the whole "kool guy" phrase was something A-ron et al. starting rocking hard and (as alot of shit does) cuz of that it stuck in the "streetwear" game. IMO The only reason the Hundreds crew is aware of the kool guys shit is cuz of the popularity of the LES heads in the scene. A-ron even explained the whole birth of "kool guys" in the NY times article from awhile ago.
I dont think theyre complaining about the lack of concept (I honestly dont even think theyre complaining) just commenting on how the game tends to get saturated by similar (read: bitten) ideas. plus theyre not dickridng a futura collab tee cuz that shirt IS a futura collab, maybe ur issue is with futura himself tho.

As for IRAK's KOOL GUYS, I've been saying "COOLGUY" since I was in the 7th grade... Along with everyone else here in Southern California. Even better than that, I've been writing entire blog-posts about COOLGUYS for the past YEARS. Entire TOPICS about it. And yes, I have documentation. So who's to say we didn't get bit? Especially considering I make t-shirt graphics 3 seasons ahead and show this stuff at the tradeshows all year long.

Actually, their shipping charges are $8 per item, but you're also not counting the fact that they don't charge tax and most OS's do. MAYBE THE HUNDREDS CAN SELL, BUT ITS LOWER CALIBRE THAN THE OTHER BRANDS C'MPN SELLS.
YOU DON'T SEE 3SIXTEEN THERE
if you're going to sit here and take the time to talk shit on a brand, why not take just as much time to look up how to spell certain words in the dictionary?
and this "lower calibre" you speak of, what exactly are your qualifications for that? i'm sitting here trying to figure out how they're lower than 10 deep, in4mation or BBC - isn't it all just personal preference?
and this whole coolguy issue; it's fuckin slang. how's anyone going to sit here and talk about who originated it, and that the hundreds crew would have never heard of it if aron hadn't started it. my friends and i threw that shit around in sixth grade and i can guarantee you we didn't know who the fuck aron was.
all this dickriding? it's called fuckin brand integrity. how's anyone going to respect a company that sits there and bites off of everyone else? if you followed the brand and looked at the shit they put out, it'd be very easy to differentiate between them and dickriders. case in point - every season they put out shirts that are over at least half of their customers' heads and in turn, they don't sell as well. so why do this? passion; it's more than just the money. it's not that difficult to sit here and deduce what ugly ass shirt/sweater would sell out at DG in a day [insert LRG dead serious joke here] but clearly, they choose not to go that route.

i dont see how commonwealth can sit there and talk shit about how TH run there company. i find it commendable bobby is friends with others in the street wear community and actually takes time to express him self and let us know whats on his mind though his blogs. its kinda hipocritial to say that type of shit when commonwealth its self wouldnt be here if they didnt know pharrell. and icecream wouldnt be nearly as success if pharrell didnt know nigo. ive said it many times before that if not for the relationship between bbc and bape the whole line would have folded a week after it droped. thers no way that icecream could make it off its own merit. foreal look at TH vs icecream/bbc. TH seem to actually put some thought into what they put out. unlike icecream who seem to be content with puting out overpriced lack luster product. also pharrell should have known he'd get some back lash, i mean its one thing to like skate boarding (hell i think the skate culture is dope) but to run around calling your self skate board p is fuckin stupid. tony hawk doesnt do that shit and hes regaurded as one of the best. so any crap pharrell take for that is rightfully diserved. this dude is starting to give va a bad name8)
