10deep did not invent the brass knucle

yeah, this may surprise you but their are countless clothing lines(or band shirts) before 10deep that have used brass knucks on their shirts..

i decided to post this because some other guy that started a line had some brass knuckle on his shirt..and got replies such as..

"the brass knuckle is a bit 10deep?
it sucks when another brand is known for some things that makes it impossible to do the same"


"people are gonna think anything to do with brass knuckle is 10 deep"

"they arent bad at all...but the brass knuckles are exactly like 10 deep. They are too well known for people not to notice that."

"And yea.. we'r not saying your biting or got a good idea from 10deep.
Just stating that well.. 10deep is known for the knuckles.. so ppl will mostly likely asume its a bite.."

this post isnt meant to start an argument, as i am a 10deep fan but to inform people their were trends/brands of brass knuckles in other genres of style

Even tho 10deep is successful to streetwear, if it wern't for online forums such as this one and don'tbelieve the hype, i probably would have never heard of 10deep. Im also very sure these other clothing lines have never heard of any streetwear type brands. They probably never will too.

Common logos such as diamonds,wings,crowns ect are re-used and abused ...very popular among every genre of clothing.

Ive asked fans of hoods and bury your dead, and gotten a responce such as the brass knuckle was their idea or some form of that(i know its not)...basically sticking up for what they know and like,infact my friend said 10deep copied BYD...
If i were to ask a streetwear fan im sure 10deep would be top of the list for them. I guess it depends where your coming from and the background...

someone should be able to put what they want on a shirt, it doesn't matter what some guy across the country in a garage has made, just try to stick to your own thing,(and i know its hard..cause their are millions of people in their houses starting companies) you have to find your audience and youll be successufull

Yeah, I didn't think anyone would really raise a stink about the knuckles (especially how we applied it). I don't feel that brass knuckles are the domain of any one brand. Neither is skulls or guns or parodies or anything. Hell if parodies were only Freshjive's domain, then brands like The Hundreds or Crooks and Castles would be biters, and who is saying that? :o

I'll keep building and designing and, hey, some people will like one thing, others might like something else. That's why we have a full line of designs :)
