What do you think about hats?

A friend of mine that I don't get to see very often met up with me for lunch today and we exchanged holiday gifts. She got me an orange hat. I tried so hard not to laugh, because I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but hats generally aren't my thing. I think most look too tacky and out of place, but I'm pretty open-minded, so...

What do you think? Are they tacky or can they look good with a certain outfit? Any suggestions you might have would be nice.

I don't know.. I like hats, but I don't look good in them.. I have long hair and my head doesn't really fit well with the hat as well.. I have a couple, but I never wear them...

yeah post a pic.... i love hats, never really buy them cos i don't think they suit me, but when i see chicks in hats i think they look great!

its not the hat you wear, its how you wear it mama!

however, it also depends on the shape of your head

from experience, if you can rock a short due (i'm talkin halle berry short), you'll prolly be able to pull off any type of hat (except for fitteds, they fit funny and i've always had a problem fitting over my hair)

I love wearing hats, I own about 30+ fitteds. It does depend on the type of hat and if it meshes well w/ur outfit. Some hats can seem out of place...

It really depends on the day, sometimes I think I look well, other days I can't stand the way I look with them.
