If you're in DC, take a trip to Social Study in Frederick MD or Elite Boardshop in Fairfax VA for some of the more popular current "streetwear" brands. Up Against The Wall locations in DC are carrying some of these brands as well. Also keep an eye out for Major opening in Georgetown and Commonwealth opening in Adams Morgan.

Man,for all you people who replyed to this,what have you done,i know what kind of kid this guy(or girl) is,see DC isnt like NY or LA,DC is small,so when you get some one like this who once to jump on brands that we all know and love they fuck it up and wont think twice about it,i mean just look at what he or she wrote "I like them allover prints like that hundreds Hoody Jay Z got on, and shirts with some skulls and shit on em"i bet this same kid was one of the people at the picture booth at the go-go with a fape hoodie on and some icecreams hint the "ice creams and bapes shit"(Guess he wants to be diffrent) DC kids are the worst with fashion,they ride what the next man is wearing hints,WALE a local DC rapper he raps about SB dunks alot,now once kids heard the word SB you got alot of kids going to google and looking up SB's,now once they looked them up they saw nike dunks in there mind,so now you have everyone and there mother trying to break there neck for some normal nike urban account dunks,now alot of kids are proably like this dude dosent know what he is talking about but i do because i have seen it all,worked in a clothing store where all of the people who worked there thought that they were brand savy,and knew it all but didnt know that bape was owned buy a guy named "nigo"i had debates in store with people saying that pharrell and some black guy owned bape and it just started up last yr???come on,you have kids in this area who think that KAWS is ripping bape off for the crossed out eyes,all kids around here know is True religon,urban account dunks,H&M,and throwing up the star trak sign.Alot of kids out here always say that there doing there own thing and they dress diffrent,i say bs,there arent that many people out her who will go out there way and do something new with style.i know that this is dumb to say but i took my myspace pics down just becasue ive gotten kids messaging me say man i loved that shirt you had on i had to go and get it,or where did you get those shoes from i need them.Alot of kids are now using hypebeast as there drees code example,i was at pentagon mall the other day,and saw this guy who i knew from seeing him around,now the guy is always in fape gear,so when i saw him the other day,he had on a well not so lumberjack lumberjack,a fitted cap,jeans and some barkleys(i had on the same barkleys shit pissed me off 180 dream team joints)but it was clear that he was trying to put something on the he was trying to mimic.And i know that i am not the only person who feels this way,as a matter of fact i know that im not the only person who feels this way,this is why (me)one of the areas up and coming designers,and well one of DC's most known clothing designers(he has done work for hundreds of brands,and if you saw anyone at the go-go awards with a tee,you havent seen,then trust me he did it everyone hit the office up before the awards,and last but not least when you take one of DC's most known people,who fatherd alot of the local brands who started a company when most of you were still in kintegarden(i know i was)what do you get.You get a store that will change the way alot of people in this area call fresh,just a lil info for you kids,the store will be 5min from the redskin stadium,and will carrying some of you fav brands,and well some street brands from japan,and other brands in the world that you proably never heard of,i dont wanna give away to much info but the store will be opening up sooner than you expect.....

i know what your saying, but isn't it so much more humble to cop something just because you like how it looks? i think people take themselves too seriously with fashion/clothes, IT'S JUST ATTIRE!!!!

At least in my opinion, if you are on a budget, you shouldn't be trying to look to cop the freshest gear out there. I think the knock off joints that are cheaper are junk as well so I wouldn't get that either. The point though is that steez that is hot is not going to be cheap to come by. If you want that exclusive ish, you have to pay more than something that is mass produced.

Looking fresh in the scheme of things really ain't all that important if you are on a budget. I'm sure you got much more important things to spend your money on than clothes. I see and know people that blow their paychecks on clothes to look nice and give the impression that they're stuntin. So, they're tryna bum a free lunch while rockin their Bape Hoody. You really ain't stuntin if you're spending all your money to cop the most hyped hoody out there.

So, yeah basically what I'm getting at is get something that is timeless as far as the style goes and ain't some cheap imitation of something that is hyped. Get what looks ok to you and not what other people think is hype. If you want to really get up on looking fresh, then get a job or get your hustle on and make that money.

Yo thanks, but seriously some of yall get too into this. Im trying to find stuff i like and if i wanted to copy id have copped some Bape/BBC and Ice Creams, but i really dont like em.
