Marco Enrique

La Liga first, the best mix of playing styles and some of the best talent..then the Premier League pretty action packed, a lot of long ball though typical English soccer - as far as domestic leagues go..Serie A is too defensive and gets boring..Champions League is the shit tho...
Getsis_Hustle
11-15-2006, 01:53 PM
i was thinking the same way about seria a and how defensive they play......and the longballs arent seen that much in the league its self only on the national...
any more opinions??

EPL, English Premiership without a doubt. They have premier players, organized on the pitch, but not at all boring. They have just the right amount of flair but imo the highest quality of actual football. The atmosphere there is great also, my team won the Nike Cup this past summer and we got to go to Old Trafford in Manchester, England and watch Manchester United Play. It was increbible!

EPL to me is the best because the pace of the game is faster and it's more exciting to me..then i'd say seria A or la liga

11-16-2006, 12:42 PM
The Premiership got it all. La Liga got some well nice styles but jus too damn pussy. And Serie A is boring as hell. The Bundesliga is real rough and good to watch but they play like robots. Hands down its gotta be the Premiership. In England we got the sexy football mixed wit the rougher play. I don't support them but i love watchin Arsenal play, Henry has the best steez. Bin a Chelsea supporter since day one. Buy yourself a pre-season away shirt; black pinstripe, well nice.

The Bundesliga is about the worst top flight league. Everytime I watch it the best piece of skill that I see is a slow ass stepover by one of those huge German monsters. Their only hope, Michael Ballack, is now in the EPL.

yeh the England national team ain't too hot. We got the talent, they jus can't play togetha for sh!t. Two bad managers for the last five years hasn't helped. Come on we beat a full Argentina side yet we lose to Croatia. Whats the deal wit it??? Consistency?!?!?! hahaha
givemeurkicks
11-17-2006, 07:58 AM
^^that seems to be the problem with a lot of the national teams. Too many superstars and not enough team cohesion. Everyone wants to be that person to score the winning goal in the World Cup, but it gets in the way of the actual play. The Brazilian national team faced this difficulty and so does Real Madrid of La Liga.
Getsis_Hustle
11-17-2006, 12:10 PM
nah..real madrid just plain sucks..thats what happens when you put mad stars in one team..sur prisngly enough, it didnt happen with Chealsea yet, and now since Vanestlerooy came to madrid, they aint doing that bad either...
about england's loss to croatia....england wasnt ready at the time at all.....they just got a new coach and he changed the team up a bit so they werent ready at all...they aslo didnt have a leader such as Beckham and even though he didnt contribute as much the less two years he was still a great leader in the english national team..
thridly..dont put down croatia....they are a great team with many many players in the bundesliga and just like two days ago they beat Israel 4-3 when israel hasn't lost a home game in 7 years.. i think that shows something about croatia

i mean it is alright to like mls everyone has a opinion, but to say that its better then the epl or pretty much any major euro league is wrong. just compare the talent, crowd support, stadiums, rivalrys, and pure on pitch brilliance, and you will see that epl is clearly the more dominant

aightt...MLS is shit......i have a lot of soccer experince.....as a 15 yr old and having my dad play pro in a small european league and me having been raised in a soccer family...MLS is shit..absolute shit....
they cant beat anyone..... yea in the freindlies where bayren munich puts their scrubs on they barely lose 2-1...while when barca came here to nyc...they got beat down 4-1 when they touched the ball ONCE and scored luckily.......even if the whole redbulls (thats how metrostars are now called if u didnt know) took on Messi or Ronaldiniho they wouldnt be able to stop them..
EPL ^ is much more dominant..

I still have my players pass into Nike Cup in my room. I still have all of the free shit that they gave us. im an arsenal season ticket holder and im pretty dissapointed this year.
i cant see why anyone should say henry is still an incredible player. hes become a big headed moron, he fairies around the pitch, occationally throws a dramatic tackle in and moans constantly at van persie. every pass he makes the crowd roar with enjoyment appluading him to the high heavens. it makes me sick. paris was the turning point for me, his performance was dismal.. extremely poor, he had no interest at all. i think rosicky is fantastic and hleb is really starting to shine through after a edgy start. not to mention fabregas, the team is pretty much built around cesc.. very exciting youngster.
as for the premiership, i guess its easy for me to say it is the best league in the world but from lookin at the other leagues its still certainly the best. however, money is dragging it down. every time chelsea get knocked out of the champions league abramovich will have his chequebook out ready to build and even stronger team, making the premiership even harder. theres no real competition anymore.. something needs to be done about the obscene amounts of money being offered to clubs and players. talking of chelsea. essien, terry, makalele and cech make that team succesful. lampard is a slob, his performances for england really show how shit he really is. the only reason he gets a decent spotlight is because he takes 10shots on goal every game and often scores one.
also, whoever said seria A was one of the best leagues. please, open your eyes. your saying the most corrupt league in the world is the best. seria A was failing over 5years ago. a league where top clubs offer a child a ticket for £2 is a wounded league.
la liga is still a very exciting league and i think its nearly level with the premiership. i havnt followed it recently so i cant really give it a decent analysis.
to me, the up and coming exciting leagues are the J League and MLS

i am man city seasn ticket supporter....- a real football fan..not just the Big names. the prem is an awsome league..spanish coming close like tom said.
- the difficult world of following a football club...not glory hunting...
i have to watch a side under achieve..with a idiot for a manager...but with a side with alot of talent...need a creative midfield and a striker in jan and we will do fine!! european place should be a proper aim for city...but we always fail due to poor manegment..
i am really lost at the moment to who is the best player title in the world..for so long we had zidane...a fantastic player..but now...with the likes of ronaldinho not performing..henry being a spoilt choker. no one is really hitting the high notes...the world cup was poor in my opinon the worst i have seen...with, really a weak side winning....and the best side droppng out too soon, being argintina.

^^I watched the whole game. I was pretty pissed that it ended as a tie. But it could have gone either way.

yeah they should have but damn chelsea just came out with more aggression at the half
A draw was a fair result.
As mourhinio pointed out it was a better result for Chelsea than us but on balance niether side could complain.
When the transfer window opens in january Fergeuson really needs to strenthen the squad, you only had to look at the quality Chelsea's bench to see that.
It looks like the Hargreaves deal will not go through this year and we still need a striker as cover for either Rooney or Saha should either get injured.

yeah but even with chelsea's bench i still think man.u can beat then any day...they're not that great of a team...don't get me wrong they're great but both start 11 are pretty even...they're bench is where they hold the upper hand on most teams

I called Draw, I bet draw, I made money of said draw.
Man U had the better of the game in the first, Chelsea in the second. Decent game.

Thats OK while your starting 11 is fully fit.
We need more strenth in depth.

Going ultimately on bias, The Premiership is the best league.. My personal second is Serie A, as it used to be on Channel 4 out here back in the day, and I just got into it more, though no doubt La Liga is much more exciting.
I live in Fulham, 10 minutes from Stamford Bridge, so by default am a Chelsea fan, my dad was born the same year Chelsea first won the league, so he's supported them all his life, and I inherited the support. I think this season is going to be close, Man United will obviously go into the new year in top, but like someone said earlier, if you don't strengthen in the transfer window Chelsea will burn that.
Good luck to Man United & Arsenal tonight in the Champions league, always like to see the English teams advance!!
GG today with Man United and Benifica.

Come on, it has to be the Premiership just for the simple fact that Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United are all a part of it! Italians messed up and La Liga is up and down!

The English Premier League is without a doubt the best league on the planet. The fluency and the atmosphere is just on another par compared to all of the other leagues.

yea..!!
MAN U just opened a nine point lead..not bad...
i really hope they take the championship this year for the sake of all the old players who will prolly be gone by the end of this season like giggs, scholes, and neville
tedsu
12-09-2006, 10:02 PM
^ yeah those three also played one of their best game this year better than the other younger ones
Scholes is in the form of his life, Giggs is looking strong as ever and Gary Neville is mr dependable at right back.
All 3 of them still have a couple of seasons left in them at least.

It's all about West Ham United (Come on you Irons!!!) 1 nil against everyone's precious Man U. (that sounded really hateful, sorry!!) As for favorite leagues nothing beats EPL. The best players, the best pitches, everything. I would follow that up with Argentina's league, but i'm biased because i'm from there. As for players I'm going to have to say Drogba (fucking hate his cocky ass but he's damn good), Carlos Tevez, Messi (yet again homeland pride on both). And IMO Christano Ronaldo is a f'n diver. takes more dives than an olympic diver, but thats just my opinion.

Premier League is the most fun to watch, not to mention that its pretty much the only league shown on Fox Soccer Channel (are there any other channels in the US that have soccer, bsides for the few games espn carries)
Best team hands down is Spurs, have a great shot at winning UEFA Cup and making Champions League next year. So much more fun to root for over the big four in England.
