Man I just invested ALOT OF MONEY in supreme products, I would hate to hear that thats the case. Especially since they already belong to a large American corporation (stussy).

Sellout to what? Its not like Supreme is from the hood. Or pushing mad gangsta rap albums. These are a couple of soho white boys making clothing. And making money do it. As long as they remain dope. whats the problem?

No...the same guy who owns the Stussy NYC boutique (same guy who started UNION) is the owner of Supreme. I belive that's separate than Stussy the global corporation that sells tees in surf shops for like $18

it sets a precedent and attracts more corporate attention to the scene
once that happens, it will be only about the money (as much as it's about money now, imagine stores like undft in every mall, or supreme tees in every pac-sun)
while thats an exageration and it may never go that far, it is a step in that direction without a doubt

Supreme have always been about making money. They're named after a famous NYC crack gang for crying out loud. The owner is from the UK too which is funny coz they claim NYC all day...which I don't care about because I like the brand a lot.

That's what I'm sayin?
But seriously what does Supreme have besides tons of logo products? That's all i ever see from them anyway. Expensive Tees with Supreme across the front. Kind of lame and boring if you ask me.

Some of the supreme crew are from the hood. The dudes associated with running the brand have always been legit skateboard heads (not necesarily the best skaters) and at the top of the game. Supreme is far from some white collar boutique (in theory, obviously not in patronage).
IF ANYONE CAN GET ME THE SUPREME ARI VANS CLASSICS IN A 10.5 - 11...ID APPRECIATE IT THANKS

Just from the recent stuff look for the tree-bark hoodies and fitteds, the Phase 2 collabos, almost all their new tees are graphic tees and not branding ones, and the Public Enemy stuff. That's just from this season.

Don't like the Phase 2 stuff, the Public Enemy tees are just Public Enemy tees, tree bark stuff is cool, but still unimpressive. I pass.

I went the day after they released and they were all gone but I saw a few doods wearin that shit at the store. those are must cops. too clever.

No I said, all I ever see are logo/branding products from Supreme. That seems to be their bread and butter as far as product goes. And those other products dude was talking about aren't that dope to me. They're aiight, nothing to make me cry over Supreme selling out though.

Im not a fan of some of their hyped shit neither. just go for the ones Im feelin enough to buy. but the name itself does sell. not only for supreme, but for other brands as well.

I feel that Supreme is one of the most overrated stores out there. Sure they produce alot of clothes of high quality and are unique, but they charge up the ass for their stuff. Plus, I think alot of their stuff is weak in my books.:)
Their tees retail for $28. That's just as much as any other streetwear brand...

Why does everyone think their stuff is overpriced? you must be kidding me, you will pay 36-40 dollars for a wack ass 10 deep shirt or 70 dollars for a Alife tee, but 28-32 dollars for a supreme shirt is overpriced.... whoever doesnt like it, good for you, thank you for not liking it, more for the people that do :)

supreme is the shit man and i have my doubts that it is overrated. theyre currently between payable streetwear and high end streetfashion. unlike stussy their productions varies widely from canada to japan and everything in between, but still they charge mad bills for jeans and made in china jackets, while on the other hand they also sell quality and cut n sew shirts for 50 bucks and less.
maybe nothing cosmetically will change if they handed it over to a 2nd hand 3rd party branche and the design team stays with the same innovation, but still they will lose some of their og status and that could probably be a sign of the armageddon

Not sure how reliable that source is but if you think about it we're talking about a store who for years have purposely limited the sales of their supply and worked with cutting edge designers and artists (and have become very successful with that strategy) all which would go against the idea of suddenly opening the door to wider production. They've handled all aspects of their business just fine on their own, frankly I don't see "Fuck Bush" stickers or tee shirts depicting Larry Clark's pic of naked teenagers getting each other off reaching a wide audience haha

Thats because there isn't an actual supreme store in canada. Just retailers. Plus you guys pay stupid prices up there anyway
