levis stf's ($30-35) then beat the hell out of them until theyre unique, uniqlo s002s ($30-40), maybe raw wranglers($10-15)? its a really high rise and a funky shade of blue though.

wranglers (told you the rise was high, and ignore the nasty ass pleat they decided to add)

501 STFs

good ol western wear, eh?

good for beating on, but from my experience, if youre looking for REALLY nice denim to really keep for a few years, youhave to eventually step up to $100-400 stuff.

oh yeh, the wranglers are freakishly long, so either cuff, tailor, or get ready for a whole lotta stacking.

i don't see this whole "if you want denim for yrs you need to buy expensive stuff" argument. i've never had a pair of jeans fall apart on me.

youre right, cheap jeans will last just as long.
but they dont age as well. cheaper synthetic indigo gets used which end up looking,.. well.. not nice after a while, bad stitching, and so on and so on. its like a nice rain jacket, you know northface/arcteryx/patagonia etc etc will last a little longer, yes? same situation applies.

right now the most expensive pair of jeans i have is a pair of g-star raws. i have those, wranglers, uniqlo, and 501's. theyve all done a bang upjob of keeping me in once piece, but id be lying if i dont jealous if i dont see a nicely aged pair of samurais or something.

It is but it's kinda gay seeing every hypebeast wearing them.

its either that, or you see EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD wearing beat to shit jeans. take your pick. and some people like myself like to start with raw jeans and wear them out ourselves so they have an authentic fade. the way it used to be, before fashion washes took over.

yeah i recently bought a pair of jeans on sale @ the gap for 29.99...

your best bet is to look around for department store sales or when smaller discount stores get in designer jeans for 20-40$

I suggest DrunkenMonkey Jeans. Costs around 50$, it fits nice, and JcPenny has it on sale at certain times of the year for only 25$
