10 Deep's New Era is arguably one of the nastiest hats I've ever seen. But then again, I'm completely against the idea of advertising for a company on my head (unless it's a sports team).

I kinda think it is too...imo they are kind of trivializing public enemy's music cause it stood for something you would think wouldn't be so easily commercialized and packaged...they turned a rebel group with a message instead a nolstalgic piece...but hey, how is that any diff from all the che gueverra and malcolm x shirts out?

The PE starter jacket is so bananas its not even funny. I'm just mad its not full zip because I'm not a big pullover knida guy

honestly if you understand where supreme is coming from you can't hate on anything they do, haha shit evn dissing the customers. Honestly 90% of Supremes customers don't understand the ideas behind the pieces so why would the people selling it respect that?

Just look at the concepts Public Enemy x starter jackets x the whole the government hates us message.

lets break it down all ways. PE's message was about fighting the power, and respresenting yourself and the world acepting us for who we are eventhough we are different. Starter jackets were a symbol of an era in the hood and in hip-hop, so the fact that they use a starter jacket, which PE wore, back in the day to pay homage is like an immaculate representation, because while everyones trying to keep it true with their allover print hoodies these guys are bringing back a classic in an original way. finally the whole use of PE this year is really a representation of how the core customer and basiclaly eevry person who messed with PE back in the day views the government more now then ever. Bush hasn't helped the hood, he's got us in a huge war for what reason? Why would we feel the government doesn't hate us right now?

and as far as making money isn't what PE was about, Supreme really isn't either. they aren't in every store world wide like roc-a-wear or LRG, so they can't possibly be making boatloads of money, which is just like PE. They still make money offa benig PE, but they neevr RAPED the game

the material was so thin, like canvas. Not like wool at all?

Doubt it, and just cause you buy some limited hat doesn't mean the quality is better, you're mostly playing for the name/exclusivity. I have a NORT New Era that feels a cheaper than any of my Phillies New Eras that I've picked up at Lids or Foot Locker... Also, some hood shops do sell fake fitteds so buyer beware...

jeah they were released already. but they were long gone in a very short amount of time. they retailed for $48 at supreme in LA. white and purple ones were sold out the fastest. I was able to cop the white, but the purple was gone. damn I want the purple lol.

They made a bunch of other colors too royal blue navy blue green red brown. To me these are some of the hottest New Eras ever and based on their popularity hopefully they'll make more in different hat color/box logo color combinations.
