I feel where you're coming from, I feel you. But I don't take hate to Shmack personally, to be honest I don't even own Shmack gear because when I buy gear from a brand I need to make sure that I'll like it a couple months down the road, I just respect Shmack, but I don't really know if I'll like their gear later on. Like a wise dude once said "Fashion is temporary; Swagger is forever". And I feel no insecurity about anything I wear as long as I like it, then I like it.

Yo, Shmack was rep'n hard last night at the Crooks & Castles after party. Their new fall line actually looks legitmate in person. They weren't sporting their denim. But, their hoody was of good quality and designs weren't too bad.

Schmack is not the only brand that is terrible, but brands like lemar and dauley, all these bullshit brands that take whatever else someones done and reiterate it in a new layout.

None of these fucking brands have any Ideas behind their shirt. Thats what make "aNYthing" such a different brand, and explains why it appears in the New York Times quite often. Basically these brands take whatever color or icon is hot at the time "biggie, stars, guns etc" and throws them on a tshirts in either an all over print because people will buy it, or just plain on the shirt with ok composition. A brand like aNYthing cant just make a design out of nothing, it needs a meaning for them to produce a shirt. For example Never Not Working describes the lifestyle of so many people. Hardworking individuals with a pencil and joint in hand. The joint is the inspiration through which the idea is formed or conceived through, and the pencil is the medium in which the idea is broadcast.

This is why idiot brands like Schmack, Lemar and Dauley, GRN Apple Tree, and all these trendy bullshit no brain brands cannot step to those of Supreme, aNYthing, Rockers NYC, Stussy, Alife, etc.

Knowing where a company comes from is good but is it always necessary? When it comes down to it, it's all about the design..not everyone is gonna relate to it the way you do. To me, L&D is a cut and paste job on Adobe, I don't like it but I guess the brand is doing their thing.

I didnt like shmack 2 years ago, i dont like them now. its just not my taste. same thing with L&D. i liked the jordan rings shirt, but i cant get down with all the stars. didnt make any judgement other than i dont really care too much for it, and the subject matter in their shirts is not deep, simple as that.
