Alright, so I guess Orisue doesn't have a great following on this board for whatever reason it may be, but I have a legitimate reason for disliking this brand, and mind you, I always thought their stuff was cool. I didn't care if they "bit" other brands because I always thought the artistic merit behind the t-shirts were on point, but this has nothing to do with aesthetics or fashion, it's about Customer Service.
I posted some pics I found via myspace on here regarding their FALL merchandise and was kindly PMd by one of the guys (ORISUEALVIN) to remove the pictures (so I tell DUM to delete the post) and that he would send me some promo stuf,f and that all I had to do was give my address so it could be sent. I comply and get the thread removed and provide my address to ORISUEALVIN . I thought, "What the hell, free promo stuff, sure, why not?"
I wait and wait and wait, and nothing comes. An item from SOCAL to NORCAL does not take 3 weeks, unless some mishaps with USPS or whatever delivery service used messed up. I PM ORISUEALVIN once again and he tells me that the whole team has been swamped with preparing their FALL release and with MAGIC that he never had the chance to send it out. He apologized and assured me that now they would be surely sent out.
I wait and wait and wait, nothing comes! So I'm like, "Alright, no big deal, whatever, they're only stickers." So for all you PRO-ORISUE people on here who are reading this, PLEASE do not respond with bullshit like, "OH, QUIT CRYING, THEY'RE ONLY STICKERS..BLAH BLAH BLAH" Because, you know what? It's not about the stickers or the promo pack, or whatever, it's the mere principle that he said they would be sent out. And to add insult to injury, so to speak, he apologized and ASSURED me the second time around they would be sent out, and NOTHING! I would rather have had homie lie and tell me they ran out, as opposed to telling me that they're going to be sent out. So it's not about stickers, not one bit.
Two weeks ago, I email INFO@ORISUE.com regarding a question I had about a picture I saw in their blog, which obviously would require a response from them for my question to be answered. I received no response and gave them the benefit of the doubt because this was when they were at MAGIC.
A couple days ago I see that MIKE (username ORISUE) posted something in the FASHION forums and so I was like, "Alright, since he's on maybe I could ask him all the questions I have and receive a response." Guess what? I get no response. And I saw him again the next day, online here, and still no response. So you mean to tell me that you can go and give homie advice on what t-shirt and colors to wear with TIFFANY DUNKS, (true story, look through the recent posts) but you can't even respond to a PM? Come on, man, get real here.
All in all, I don't really care for the promo pack anymore, nor do I care about receiving answers towards my questions. But what I couldn't stand was the lack of a response and fabrications about sending the stuff. Seriously, it's the damn principle that bothers me, or lackthereof.
All of you guys say this and that about Orisue's line, but I thought I would shed some light on true, legitimate understandable reasons towards animosity for the brand. Also, I'm not one to "air out" these issues with brands, because it's a bad look on them, but I exhausted all my other options (AIM, MYSPACE, HYPEBEAST PMs, EMAILS, etc.) and this was all that was left.
And don't say anything about them being busy, because all these other brands can get at me (including the ones with FALL releases), but not them? Explain that.
