nothing is going on out there ^ lol been there many times wasnt impressed
really philly is always very similar to nyc. in new york there is a ton of stores that sell streetwear clothes and in philly theres only 1 that i know of. i think a store wouldn't do bad especially if its in a better location than the other streetwear store in philly.

Well UBIQ (on Walnut) used to sell a ton of clothes (esp streetwear) but now they just have a small selection of LRG. So considering that UBIQ is at the epicenter of Philly shopping and they weren't able to profit off streetwear clothes, then I'd expect that a new shop may not fare that well until streetwear becomes popular in Philly (which it really is not right now).

WTHN has sold out of damn near everthing they've dropped(Crooks, Hundreds, 10Deep, Coup De Gras, ALife).. they're making great business. i was there the first friday(were all the art gallerys have showings) and it was pretty crowded...
i think PHilly would benefit from it. besides, at the time UBIQ was selling 1odeep and such streetwear was allot less mainstream than it is now. and UBIQ caters to a different crowd(look at were it's placed--right next to PUMA, Diesel, Urban Outfitters). that whole walnut shopping scene is for trendy chicks, and gay dudes..
thats what i was thinking cuz the ubiq on walnut is in a terrible location. if they sold streetwear in the gallery location instead of all lrg i think it would be a success.

there isn't a streetwear store on south street, and NY and Philly are extremely different

a storefront streetwear store isnt going to do good in philly.
most of the people in philly dress like like shit.
most of the people will not buy brands they never heard of, especially at a premium.
most people will go in there to rack.
not a good investment. unless you have a online store >:(

if you say so kid, but as a person whos in both new york and philly abuot once a week I see more streetwear/levis in Ny and more ed hardy beach boy/ true religion stuff in philly. Also having been making the same moves for about the last6 years theres a lot of fashion reands that have neevr really crossed over like that, but whatever b you always know best
