Levi's 501 Shrink to Fits

Hey everyone, I'd like to try out some raw denim but I'm 15 and don't have much money. It seems like I could afford the 501 shrink to fits and find them in a store where I live. I just have a few questions that I couldn't find the answers to online. What size should I get? I wear 32x30 with normal Levi's and I've heard different opinions on how much to size up. Also, how should I go about washing them and how often, just like regular raw denim? Thanks for any help.

Direct from the Levis sales associate: "The waist shrinks two inches and the inseam shrinks about one. If you wear a 36x32 get a 38x34"

DO NOT size up the waist too much unless you like a pretty baggy fit, because mine stretched like 2-3 inches from wear, I would get some that fit ok, maybe just a little big, but do size up in length, on the first wash the waist and length will shrink, but the waist will stretch back out through wear. If it's too small after the first wash you can stretch it out with your hands while wet. Hope that all made sense.

I jumped from levis when I noticed there were jeans that had way better washes/fits/jean for the same prices and it was right under my nose.


Levi's are cool though. The overpriced ones arn't really worth it though.

Probably the best bang for buck denim available. I love the fit. Im still trying to find a pair of selvedge jeans with a very close fit, the 1947 501 repros and cut way too small on the leg.

when i was in japan i copped some uniqlo and quality of the jeans was pretty good and the sizing was cool. the shirts and japanese slippers on the other hand were wayyyy to small. Uniqlo is the GAP of Japan?

well if u get the 501's u better watch the waist shrinkage. i bought 34 and it fits like a 31. f'in when i sit down now to eat my stomach f'in extends a inch. least they're cheap. bought em for 40.

if you wear a 34 on regular jeans you better buy a 35 on STF's they shrink a lot depending on the wear..just wash them same as your raw denim

you can just get your true size if you don't plan on washing them and just dry clean. if you wanna soak them you should probably get 36x34 because of shrinkage
