Anyone tried this? What's your top tips for shrinking jeans?
I've heard washing them in really HOT water and tumble drying them works. Can anyone confirm this?

if your shits is shrinkable....then boil some water and stick your jeans in the smallest container in which it fits. and dump the boiling water in....let it sit for a while. then have your washing machine ready to the spin cycle and dump it in there to spin off the boiling ass hot water. then preheat your dryer to high for like an half hour, take it off and stick it in your ass slow like: tssssssssssssssSSSSSST!
dry on high
get high everyday
PS hot water makes your shit bleed so make sure you dont have jeans that bleed. also i heard putting salt in water will prevent your jeans from bleeding so maybe you want to shrinky your bleedy jeans in boiling salt water
im not sure if salt works...just a rumor

Hahahah, M-E-T-H-O-D MAN.
Anyway, if I have some nice denim I'm trying to shrink (IE dry denim so your creases are in the right place & whatnot) heres what I do:
Wait until you're tired
Fill the bathtub with cold water
Zip the jeans up, turn em inside out
Lay them out flat in the cold water, soak em so they sink, and if they don't sink, weigh them down so everything is submerged
Go to bed and get a healthy 5-8 hours of sleep
Wake up, drain the bathtub
Be careful with your soaked jeans
Pick em up, hang em outside
Let em dry, and shazam, shrinked jeans with minimal indigo loss!
I also use the seasalt trick: If you don't want your denim to get soft after washing, throw a fuckton of seasalt in your tub when you soak them. Also, hand cleaning with vegetable soap keeps your denim in good condition. Good luck!

Put your jeans on the dresser. Just your jeans on the dresser. Then bang the jeans with a spike mother fcking bat! BOWW!
I heard the same thing about the salt. But I also heard the same thing about vinegar. But vinegar also acts as a natural softener.
What jeans are you trying to shrink? Raw denim?

I don't think I've ever used vinegar on jeans.
It usually helps stretch out t-shirts though, so I don't see how it would help with shrinking.

My suggestion is that you guys should machine wash your expensive jeans.
If you guys can afford expensive jeans, go put out 1.50 to dry clean it after wearing them for 4-5 times.

The jeans i'm trying to shrink are "Cone Denim" whatever those are...
They're pre-shrunk jeans but are still abit loose.
Done abit of investigating... apparently Ammonia stops jeans from bleeding too!
Gonna try kettle boiling salty water whilst listening to 36 chambers first, then see what happens. Wish me luck!
this should be a sticky like the cleaning shoes thread. :D
ill out

I did what MyAcademy said, lay flat, inside out, buttoned up, coldwater for like 5 hours and like no indigo loss
there was an "Official Denim Thread" but it didnt get stickied and kinda drifted into the old fashion forum pages because noone posted in it for a while
