A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Tee are going to a Foundation in support of J. Dilla's family.

Companies have to appreciate an artist in order to put them on their product. I dont think anyone specifically looks to profit off anyones death. With companies continuously paying tribute to these great people, it helps their name live on.
