Spoon Fed was established in 2002 as the brainchild of Bill Spector, the original architect of New York City's Downtown scene. The brand quickly became synonymous with fashion-forward styling and impeccable product quality. Spoon Fed products have been featured in a variety of international magazines and can be seen worn by tastemakers the world over. Aside from fit and design, construction quality and attention to detail are the two most important factors in the production of Spoon Fed products. Unlike most manufacturers, Spoon Fed's production facilities are limited to a small group of hand selected manufacturers. The total number of Spoon Fed products produced each year is extremely limited, undoubtedly adding to the label's uniqueness and exceptional standards of quality. When designing each seasonal collection, the focus remains on combining updated design elements, exceptional product quality, and a connoisseur’s eye for detail. Those fortunate enough to own Spoon Fed products will have found a line of inspired products that reflect a devotion to quality, style and unwavering commitment to taking chances & breaking new ground. Spoon Fed. New York's Finest.

Your line is on point the "Equipment" and "Tosh" shirt are hot. But I think you are very overpriced @ $50 a Tee. The only one I would pay that much for is the "Nike Head" - Nas one in green (XXL? ). I hope you reissue that.
Props

I know everyone is hating on the $50 price point but the truth is that we feel it is justified due to the construction of the garment. These shirts are made from a custom pattern and are completely cut and sew. That means that the factory prints the shirts unassembled, cuts the fabric, assembles the shirt, and then puts the finishing touches on it. All in all it's a completey different process than just slapping a screen print on a pre-fabricated blank shirt. The cotton is better and the fit is our own. When you mix the fabrication with the limited quantities we run of each shirt the factory ends up killing us on the price...in return, we need to price the shirts accordingly so that our retailers can make money. I know $50 is still $50 but I just wanted to put this out there so that you all don't think we're sticking heaps of dough in our pocket. The markup we put on our shirts ends up being the same as a cheap blank screened shirt that sells for $28...

So what's up with a "NikeHead" reissue? Do I have to get a petition going?

LOL...I don't think we're going to reissue the that shirt...when we dropped it we broke ground with the chains around the neck and all that but since then too many people have done variations of it...time for us to move forward...but it was a dope shirt htough so you never know...

I bought my bf the Nikehead shirt last Christmas, for retail, and it wasn't $50. Was that cut and sew too, or is it just the new line?

your shirts are the best quality i've seen in streetwear.

Let me reply to the questions one by one...I apologize for the delay in responding but I had to get some work done.

As far as the reinventing ourselves question...

We recently underwent some major changes as far as our organization goes. We actually started treating it as a business instead of a hobby and we bunkered down and legitimized ourselves. Refocused the brand, refocused the line, and refocused our branding...new logo, new website, new everything. I disagree with the remark that it's less street and more artsy...if you look at our "Lifestyle" section you can see that we live this brand 100%...please don't confuse clean design and crisp photography with us not representing the "street"...we're just out of the gutter!

As far as the Nike Head shirt not being a $50 shirt...

The Nike Head shirt was a screen printed blank NOT cut and sew. That's why we couldn't get the chains to go up all the way around the neck and into the stitch like we wanted to. That shirt actually pushed us into the cut and sew direction because we weren't 100% satisfied with the end product.

And thanks for your comment about us having the best quality in streetwear. We take pride in what we're doing and feel that the only way we're going to build longetivity is by focusing on quality. I can't wait for your feedback when our Spring '07 line drops...it's going to be bananas!

cool good to see u back on the grind

i also think that its still pretty street, but just a different spin. Something doesnt have to talk about sneakers, guns, or rappers to be "street"

My thoughts exactly...everyone is doing guns, hip hop lyrics, skulls and crossbones...we're trying to put a different twist on it...

So overall are you feeling the new site?

use more than one model to show off your collection.

in the spring/summer collection and lifestyle section, put a preview bar or something so the user knows how many pages are in the section or allow the user to skip pages.

i gave up after 5 that ways cause i didn't wanna look at that dude 40 more times until the end of the collection.

So your twist is to make your logo look like a swastika? I won't be copping.

Damn, where on earth did that come from? I'm not sure if you've been drinking that Mel Gibson juice or what but seeing as half of the company is owned by Jews I'd say that the swastika remark is way out of left field.

Lay off the sauce homie...

Nobody's trying to call anyone Nazis, but thats what first popped into my head when I saw the logo.

^You have to squint real hard and look at a 56 degree angle while hopping on one leg. Then it's clear as day.
