Dropping Knowledge is Gold.

We made it through another week. Definitely one of the more exhausting weeks as of late, but everything is slowly starting to set into place and the city is definitely a second home to the HB Team. Friday is our field day so we drove around and connected with the usual suspects to see whats good and new in the world of San Francisco retail. Aside from almost getting killed at an intersection on Van Ness, we made it through the day without any scratches or bruises. Among the highlights was a visit to Shoe Biz/adidas Concept Store on Haight Street. I finally caught up with my friend Mehran, who owns both shops and is certainly one of the most, if not the most, admirable individuals I've met while working in this industry. Always humble and inspired, whether its launching special sneaker programs or some of the many charity projects he runs, Mehran is certainly someone to learn from and look up to. We also got a sneak peek into some awesome stuff coming up in 2010 and spoke for a long while.
If you're ever on Haight, be sure to stop by Shoe Biz/adidas!

Finding parking on Haight Street is like a scavenger hunt sometimes, although its becoming a bit easier nowadays with everyone keeping their money in their pockets rather than spending it on the latest and greatest quickstrike.

Aside from clothing stores and thrift shops, Haight plays home to an endless array of smoke shops. I personally don't smoke but for those that do, this place definitely has everything a smoker would need and certainly rivals Berkeley, although not as hippie, imo at least.

We made it across town into Unionmade, a newly opened Americana shop on Sanchez St. Aside from the usual fashion chatting with good guy and shop owner Todd, we ran into Mr. Gold and his sidekick Levi, who definitely hogs up the spotlight. I think I want a canine now. Good chatting as always Benny.

Went to Boston Market because Derek wouldn't stop talking about their Corn Bread. Definitely lived up to the expectations. At the office we'll be on a quest to find the best corn bread and mac n cheese in SF. Any suggestions?
So far we hit up:
Hard Knox
Whole Foods
Boston Market

I shopped at Ross.... when I was in 8th grade with my mom.... observing grown black dudes carrying FUBU shirts, and PELLE jeans ready to purchase.
